The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region VII, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐅𝐎 𝐏 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐀, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, together with the personnel of BFP Calape Fire Station headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟒 𝐌𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐆 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞, Officer-in-Charge, and under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐀𝐔𝐋 𝐆 𝐁𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈Ñ𝐎, 𝐉𝐃, 𝐃𝐏𝐀, Provincial Fire Marshal of Bohol Province, conducted a Standby Alert during the Visayas Leg of the 2026 ASAPHIL National Softball Championship held in Calape, Bohol.
The activity ensured emergency response readiness and public safety throughout the event.

Today, the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 7, spearheaded by 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐅𝐎 𝐏 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐀, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Director, BFPR7, along with BFP Calape personnel headed by 𝐒𝐅𝐎𝟒 𝐌𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐆 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞, Officer-In-Charge, under the supervision of 𝐅𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐑𝐀𝐔𝐋 𝐆 𝐁𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈Ñ𝐎, 𝐉𝐃 𝐃𝐏𝐀, Provincial Fire Marshal Bohol Province, conducted their regular physical fitness activity through the Hanging Like a Bat exercise. This activity focused on improving upper body strength, grip endurance, core stability, flexibility, and overall muscular endurance, which are essential for firefighting and rescue operations.

The exercise encouraged personnel to develop better physical conditioning, balance, and body control while promoting discipline and teamwork. Regular participation in physical fitness activities such as this helps ensure that firefighters maintain the physical readiness required to effectively perform emergency response, fire suppression, rescue operations, and other public safety duties.

The activity also reinforced the station's commitment to maintaining a healthy, physically fit, and operationally prepared workforce capable of delivering efficient and quality public service at all times.
