STRONG GROUP MINING CORPORATION ISSUES CLARIFICATION ON RECENT INCIDENT IN CARRASCAL, SURIGAO DEL SUR.
Strong Group Mining Corporation (SGMC) formally addresses the inaccurate reports, misleading narratives, and digitally altered images circulating across various social media platforms regarding the tragic incident that occurred on Sunday morning, October 4, 2026, in National Highway P7 Barangay Saca, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.
To correct public misperceptions and prevent the spread of unverified information, SGMC clarifies the following points:
1. Employment Affiliation: The victim, Mr. Philip Morales Engbino, was not a direct manager, official, or direct employee of Strong Group Mining Corporation. He served as a manager for EZMMI GenCon, which operates as an independent contractor.
2. Doctored Media and False Branding: SGMC strongly condemns the malicious circulation of edited photographs—specifically digital alterations crudely adding or modifying corporate logos onto vehicles involved in the incident. These fabricated graphics are entirely false and manufactured to falsely implicate the corporation.
3. SGMC extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. Engbino. We fully defer to local law enforcement agencies, including the Carrascal Municipal Police Station and provincial investigators, as they conduct a thorough investigation into the motives behind this unfortunate event.
We urge the public, social media page administrators, and online commentators to exercise responsibility, refrain from sharing unverified claims or manipulated media, and rely solely on official statements from authorities.
Thank you.
