YUMA markets solar home systems and DC powered appliances manufactured that are used in m rural communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America. YUMA offers its products through affordable payment schemes made possible by PAYG technology. What does YUMA Stand for? The YUMA name was inspired by the city of Yuma, Arizona in the USA, which is blessed with having the most abundant sunlight in the world. The “Hawak mo ang Lakas” tagline is a simple statement of autonomy and control. Literally, the power is handy and accessible. Figuratively, it emancipates the customer from dependence. The icon combines a hand, filament and a geo-tag. It is the power in your hands. It means light that the hand controls. The geo-tag implies that people and places the company touches become part of a map of progress. Our Market
There are currently 2.4M rural households that are not connected to an electric grid. Distance and location make it economically unviable to lay down electric lines to service these homes. YUMA aims to service these households and has now covered the areas of Zambales, Quezon, Palawan, Bicol, Iloilo, Osamis, Samar, Leyte, Zamboanga, and Davao.
