And so it begins, I am now "niching down" at last!
Graphic contents in social media postings are more than just photos these days.

Since a lot of businesses big or small is utilising social media to promote their products and services, social media posts should be precise, on point and detailed.

I have been doing graphic content for social media postings for more than a year now for clients and I realized that although I do different sorts of tasks on a daily basis I always get excited every time it's the creating social media graphics part through Canva.

I know! Most would say that oh it's just Canva, it's not considered "professional" graphic software or application, I hear you.

But I do believe that whatever "medium" we use to create our graphics it doesn't matter...as long as you're happy with the outcome and it resonates with your clients and your audience then it's mission accomplished for me.

There are a lot of creators out there, some are well experienced and some are just starting like me.

So it has been a year since I dived headfirst into the world of freelancing.

I have been blessed to have clients and be busy with lots of work so I haven't been very active here.

It has been a rollercoaster experience for me. I never expected that after a year I will still be here and thriving.

You see, I used to be a procrastinator before, so I'm proud to say that I'm a work in progress every day.

If you always feel that you are not ready yet, please try to ask yourself this: "What's the worst that could happen?" if I try?

Then assess if you can take the risk. And if you think the risk will be worth it, then what are you waiting for?

You'll be surprised at the different sets of emotions, knowledge, enlightenment, the fulfilment you will encounter on your journey.

But always remember that you are in competition with no one but yourself and that this is not a race.

The best time for new beginnings is now.

Better late than never. The last quarter of the year has been good to me, although it has been a tough year in general. I'm counting my blessings. It's the only way to keep me sane...lol The lessons I have learned from the past year was to always look for the silver lining, to not dwell on the negatives. Surprisingly it works. I hope this year will be a really good year to all of us. We deserve it...it has to be... It's all in the perspective. On how we look at things. And I am very hopeful...this year will be a great one for all of us, after all when you're already down, there's no other way but UP. I'm claiming it. It's called the law of attraction. Happy New Year everyone! Cheers!

A lot of challenges and struggles are coming our way, but we humans are the resilient kind. Often times whenever we struggle, we think about giving up. There are times when we feel like we cannot continue with the challenges we are facing. Did you know that whenever you think that you can no longer continue, you can apply the 40% rule? The 40% rule is when your mind tells you that you are done and tired, and you can no longer continue, you're actually just 40% done. The 40% rule reminds us that no matter how tired we feel or whenever we feel like giving up, it is always possible to bring out a stored reserved energy, driving force and motivation that we all possess. So whenever you feel like giving up, just don't yet, remember to draw out from your reserved energy and continue to fight your battles. Just like what they say in the movies "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger". Do your thang... ;)

Planning alone will get you nowhere. Being proactive means that we, as human beings, are responsible for our own lives. Our behavior is a feature of our decisions, not of our circumstances. What matters most is how we react to what we encounter in our lives. Deciding for yourself is a starting point. To carry out a plan you have to act upon it. There is no better time than right now. Start being proactive today. Just like that mundane tasks that is stopping you from doing more productive things, it can really be a struggle. Today I was commended for being one of the students who excel in a workshop that I have enrolled to. I never in my wildest dreams expected that I would be actually attending it and much more to excel in it. In that workshop I have learned a lot of skills that I never knew I would still be capable of. It was always my thinking that I am much too old and it is much too late to be starting anew, but the right thing i did that started it all was to inquire about the workshop that day...and what's more is I actually enrolled in it. Me, the queen of procrastination hahaha is actually being proactive for once...and that is the one thing I did right that day...and look where it took me. You too can always start something new, because it is never too late to learn, improve and better yourself. You just have to take that very first intimidating step.

It is always wise to invest on yourself, whether it is a new hobby, a new skill, or just simply pampering yourself. Hiring a VA can be considered investing on yourself too. As a budding VA, I know the battle is fierce out there, that is why I am also investing in myself to be a better version of me.
