🇵🇭 True Freedom is only found in Jesus Christ
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” – John 8:36 (KJV)
Today, we celebrate the Philippines’ independence. A day when our nation was set free from colonial rule. It reminds us of the sacrifices made by our heroes so we could live in liberty.
But there is a greater freedom that every person needs — freedom from sin.
No matter how free our country is politically, if we are still bound by sin, guilt, and fear of judgment, we are not truly free. Jesus Christ came not to deliver us from human governments, but from the bo***ge of sin and death.
Just like our heroes gave their lives for our nation’s freedom, Jesus gave His life on the cross for our eternal freedom. His resurrection broke the chains of sin, and He offers forgiveness and new life to all who repent and believe the gospel.
As we wave our flags today, let’s also reflect:
♦️Am I free politically — but still in spiritual chains?
♦️Have I received the true freedom that only Christ can give?

When you receive Christ, you don’t just celebrate one day of freedom — you begin a life of true liberty that lasts forever.
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free…” – Galatians 5:1 KJV
True independence is not just political, but spiritual. Only through Jesus can we be “free indeed.”
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” – Psalm 33:12a KJV
