May mga security guards na nang-aabuso, pero konti lang โ€˜yanโ€ฆGreater ang number ng security guard na naaabuso. Ako, just to be frank about it, nakikita ko ngayon, โ€˜yung mga security guard naka-uniform ng puti tapos pinipilit nila na labhan palagi โ€˜yung uniporme nila araw-araw para hindi madumi tingnan sa mga tao tapos magkano ang sabon? Titingnan lang ninyo, ha. Kuwentahin niyo, kuwentahin ninyo โ€˜yung paglaba at pagplantsa ng kanilang uniporme ikumpara niyo sa sweldo nila, talagang hindi ka aabutin.

2024 Holidays and Compensation

Employees are entitled to holiday pay for both regular and special non-working holidays. The amount of holiday pay may vary depending on various factors, such as the nature of the holiday and an employee's status (regular, contractual, etc.).

Here are some key points about holiday pay in the Philippines:

Regular Holidays: For regular holidays (e.g., New Year's Day, Independence Day, Christmas Day), employees who work on these days are typically entitled to double their regular daily wages. If an employee does not work on a regular holiday, they are still entitled to their daily wage.

Special Non-Working Holidays: Special non-working holidays, like Chinese New Year or Eid'l Fitr, do not have fixed rates. Employees who work on these days may receive additional compensation agreed upon by the employer and employee.

Additional Compensation: In some cases, employers may provide additional incentives or bonuses to encourage employees to work on holidays. These additional payments are often subject to negotiation and are not regulated by law.

It's essential to check the labor laws and any employment contracts or collective bargaining agreements in your specific situation to understand the exact holiday pay you are entitled to.

Malacaรฑang released on Friday, October 13, the list of regular and special holidays for next year. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed Proclamation 3268 which identified regular holidays and the special non-working holidays for 2024. The issuance of national holidays due to Islamic holidays such ...

Proclamation No. 258: Declaring Wednesday, 28 June 2023, a regular holiday throughout the country, in observance of Eidโ€™l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

Holiday pay is an additional pay provided to a covered employee during regular holidays. If no work is done on a holiday, the employee receives his holiday pay โ€“ i.e. 100% holiday pay. If there is work done, he receives his holiday pay plus his day's wage โ€“ i.e. 100% holiday pay + 100% daily salary.
