Job Specs:
Operational Routine maintenance, servicing and ensuring readiness of all tenders and toys at all times.
Fueling of tenders and toys.
Ensuring all garages are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Carry out wash down/cleaning/detailing routines for all tenders/toys on board.
Assist on deck as required.
Repairs carried out as required (including fiberglass and painting, etc.)

• 3+ Years’ Maritime experience on Passenger/Cruise ships or 60+ meter yachts
• Professional appearance - No visible Tattoos
• Passage planning and bridge equipment/ publications management and periodical maintenance as applicable
• Heli-deck operations & tendering operations.
• PWC instructor certification (preferable)

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid Int. Passport, Seafarer medical & SDB
• STCW 95 basic safety training
• COC OOW unlimited
• Fast rescue boat or proficiency in survival craft certificate
• SSO, GMDSS, ECDIS, Medical care, HLO, PWC, AFF

• Basic safety training certificate
• Security awareness certificate
• Passenger safety certificate
• STCW Deck rating watch keeping Certificate
• RYA PBL2, RYA PWC(I) – preferable
• II/5 –Certification ratings as Able Seafarer Deck

EXPERIENCE:
• 2+ years carpentry & deckhand experience on Cruise ships or large yachts (80m+)
• Exterior & interior maintenance knowledge of painting, varnishing, stripping, waxing, products, etc.
• Experience in all aspects of Yacht Carpentry
• Ability to manage & prioritize work lists while working to deadlines.

YACHTS and CRUISE LINERS are VERY DIFFERENT!

Hello Applicants -

Crew Asia deploys carefully selected, highly qualified Filipinos with professional work ethics only to yachts.

A yacht is like a very expensive home.

A Cruise Liner is like a hotel

Therefore:
There are no restaurants on yachts rather there are exquisite dining salons.

There are no bars with bartenders on yachts rather there are stewards and stewardesses who know how to serve

There are no spas on yachts rather sometimes a yacht may require a stewardess who also has spa and salon skills.

When you therefore for ask for an available position - always remember the comparison: cruise liner - hotel; yacht - home.

So if you are in a position on a cruise liner and want to apply on a yacht think and ask: would this position be useful in my house?

For example: you are a waitress
on a cruise liner and you want to apply on a yacht, ask yourself the question would I hire a waitress in my house? Or would an all around housekeeper be more useful - someone who can clean bedrooms, bathrooms, do some laundry, etc....
