In the heart of Barangay Ward 2, Minglanilla, our PWDs, seniors, women, and solo parents came together with open hearts and a shared dream of financial freedom.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of UDP Healthcare Products Trading and the steadfast support of St. Peter, JCI Metro Cebu Uptown, and UnionBank, this “Smart, Money, Moves” Financial Literacy Training became more than just a learning session — it became a movement of hope, unity, and empowerment.

Under the guidance of CEBS Trainer Kevin John Harvey Laluyan, participants explored:
✅ The Kakeibo method for smarter budgeting
✅ BIR-standard bookkeeping for transparency
✅ Accessible investment options (UITF, MP2, Mutual Funds, Co-ops, WISP Plus)
✅ Digital registration with BIR to legitimize and grow their income

This event not only aligns with the UN SDGs — No Poverty (SDG 1), Gender Equality (SDG 5), and Decent Work & Economic Growth (SDG 8) — it also strengthens community bonds and sets the foundation for a financially resilient future.

Behind these snapshots, a movement is quietly unfolding in Barangay Ward 2, Minglanilla. What looks like simple preparations, the groundwork for something so much bigger: a pathway to financial independence for our PWDs, single women, and senior citizens. Every detail reflects our shared belief in empowerment, sustainability, and transparent livelihood practices.

We’re deeply honored that CEBS was invited to co-create a tailor-fit curriculum alongside community leaders.

On June 7th, 2025, Barangay Tabok Mandaue became a hub of inspiration and growth as we came together for an enriching leadership training. Under the guidance of SK Chairman Christella Perez and in collaboration with Tabok - Sangguniang Kabataan 2023, along with the support of JCI METRO CEBU UPTOWN, CEBS Partnership Services Corporation, and the sponsorship of EduX Training Center, the event provided deep insights into effective leadership and community engagement.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to our main speaker, Kevin John Harvey Laluyan, whose comprehensive presentation set the tone for the day. Equally inspiring was our distinguished inspirational speaker, Joshua Ouano Dizon whose moving discourse on volunteerism and leadership qualities resonated deeply with all of us, reminding us of the power of serving with integrity and compassion.
