𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐀 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑

The nominated awardees will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. Must be an active seafarer at the time of the incident. Potential awardees may not necessarily be active commercial seafarers but, at the time of the action, active seafarers and maybe now engaged in the maritime industry: from the academe, training or assessment centers, manning/shipping/crewing companies, non-governmental organizations, maritime associations and even in Civil Service.

2. The exceptional bravery has been proven to have saved life/lives and/or prevent damage to his/her vessel, cargo/property, or the marine environment.

3. Only events that occurred from August 2022 to June 2023 shall be considered in the nomination.

4. Endorser/s must be able to provide documentation to prove that the exceptional bravery was indeed performed in the course of his/her study.

The nominations of candidates for the 2023 MARINA Honours Filipino Seafarer Bravery at Sea shall be sent through [email protected] with the subject NOMINATION FOR MARINA HONOURS FILIPINO SEAFARER BRAVERY AT SEA AWARDEE 2023, using the attached Nomination Form (please refer to Annex A and B), not later than 12NN, 11 August 2023.
