Sultan of Oman has signed the decree no 56/2025 on Jun 22, 2025.

Timelines:

Oman 2017: 15% corporate tax plus withholding taxes on dividends & interest etc.

Oman April 2021: 5% VAT

Oman Jan 2028: 5% Income tax

Anyone with approx $109,000 as annual income shall be paying income tax of 5% and file taxes in Oman from Jan 1, 2028 onwards.

Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
