On the same day, he was rushed to the emergency Pediatric ICU of another hospital where his Pediatrician is a resident. My brother-in-lawโs Philhealth ฯรกรญd only 5k+ to the first hospital which charged him 27k, and guess what, the second hospital said no more Philheath credit for him since the hospitalization hasnโt reached the 24 hours rule to be covered again. Their rule requires all patients to wait 24 hours to be admitted again or else you wonโt get covered. Now, we have a running bill of 70K.
My brother-in-law has been paying Philhealth since 2004, thatโs 21 years of funds and has updated payment shares. Whoever is behind this rule is simply greedy and heartless. Imagine, it was my brother-in-lawโs money, but Philhealth refused it to be used during this difficult time.
