🍄 NOT ALL ENOKI LOOK THE SAME! 🤍💛🤎
Enoki mushrooms naturally come in different shades — white, cream, light yellow, and even brown.
🤍 White or cream enoki – the most common cultivated type, usually grown with very little light, which keeps it pale and soft-looking.
💛 Light yellow enoki – can be a natural color variation, often slightly firmer and crunchier.
🤎 Brown enoki – this is usually the wild form of enoki, which naturally has a darker, more earthy color.
The difference in color is usually due to variety, light exposure, growing conditions, and natural batch differences — so not all color variations mean spoilage.
⚠️ Signs of spoiled enoki:
❌ Slimy or sticky texture
❌ Sour or foul smell
❌ Mushy or wilted stems
❌ Excess moisture or liquid
❄️ Storage tips:
Keep refrigerated at 1°C–4°C, keep dry, do not wash until ready to use, and keep away from direct sunlight.
✨ Different colors, same delicious enoki!
