REDEFINING WHAT PUBLIC SERVICE VETS DO

For the first time in his life, he is in the spotlight for being the epitome of humanity's best qualities. For someone who shies away from accolades. 2023 has been a landmark year for the top veterinarian of Legazpi City as numerous organizations and institutions have begun to acknowledge his contributions to agriculture, livestock, poverty alleviation, philanthropy, all of which area creating positive effects to the local economy.
His distinct human dynamics on βservice for the good of allβ continues to shape not just his own goals and ambitions but also those of countless others. Just recently PAFCβAlbay came back victorious from Manila having been awarded with 14 awards and recognitions. One of which is the PAFC Albay Sectoral committee on Poultry and Livestock which placed 1st Runner up at the national. This is from Dr. Estipona's' proposal for a government owned and operated poultry processing plant in Legazpi City.
Dr. Estipona is grateful to the leadership of PAFC Albay Chairman Rene A. De Los Reyes for the councils' outright support and endorsement of the project. The establishment of a new poultry processing center will be a dream come true and a βfinancial breakβ for the provinces poultry independent operators who has long spoke against the monopoly imposed by big and established integrated poultry toll operators in the region.
Dr. Emmanuel V. Estipona is a recipient 1st Asia Humanitarian Heroes Award 2023, the 6th Dangal Ng Lahi Award 2023, Nominee to the PVMN Outstanding Public Veterinarian 2023, nominee to the 2023 Search for the Outstanding Filipino Farmers (TOFARM) in the City Urban Farmer Category. TOFARM is the in the most prestigious awards program project of JCI Philippines and Universal Harvester since 2014.
Dr. Estipona is a three-generation farmer of the Estipona clan of the cityβsβ northern barangays. He was nominated by his mentor NMIS Director Alex Templonuevo and endorsed by Mayor Geraldine B. Rosal to the TOFARM Awards Director Sonny Guingab for his innovation in food security during the pandemic.
Dr. Estipona developed a climate resilient aqua farm in his residence, which he called Household Organic Urban and Sustainable Ecologic (HOUSE) Integrated Farming System in an urban landlocked barangay in Legazpi City. The HOUSE Estipona built is home to Hito and Tilapia grow-outs, a Crab Indoor Culture grow-out. Cray Fish (breeder), Vanammie He grows Super Worm and BSF (Black Soldier Fly) as a source of βLive Feedsβ for his Hito, Tilapia, Cray Fish, Vanammie and Mangrove Crabs. The HOUSE is the first of its kind urban aqua integrated farming system in Legazpi City.
