On July 28, 2023, XLG Industrial Holdings (Philippines) Inc. and 60 landowners of Malikongkong Mabbasuk Farmers Association, a local farmers group operating in the area of Marilog proper, formally signed an agreement that paves the way in developing a 100% organic Durian plantation that is possibly the first in the Philippines with such scale. The agreement will begin with 60 hectares of agricultural land in the first phase where additional hectarage will be added in the second and succeeding phases. In this partnership, Davao City will not only be seeing 100% organic durian but also 100% organic vegetable. Organic vegetable produced in this partnership will substantially increase the supply of organic vegetables in the city and that will possibly decrease the average price thus, making organic vegetable more affordable and available to ordinary consumers. Meanwhile, the organic durian production will also maintain a steady supply of premium quality durian for export and for local supply in the years to come. This also equates to the steady stream of revenue to the city treasury.

The MoA Signing Ceremony was attended by representatives from different government agencies most specially from the Department of Agriculture, City Agriculture Office, Barangay Marilog proper, AFP & PNP, other religious and civic organizations, and Davao City Councilor Datu Rudy Mande who also conveyed the personal congratulatory message of Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte.

This partnership is just the beginning, as XLG Industrial Holdings (Philippines) Inc. group of companies and its partners will continue to do developments mainly in the sector of agriculture and food processing industry that will directly benefit davao residents and the local government of Davao City. This also further advance the economic partnership of Philippines and China. As what the company's name implicates, XLG, short for Xing Long Group in which Xing Long is a Chinese phrase that means "prosperous", XLG will further prosper the increasingly growing economy of Davao City.

This day marks a milestone for XLG Industrial Holdings Philippines together with it's daughter companies namely, the XLG Land Corporation and XLG Crop Nutrient Agrisolutions Inc. XLG and soon to rise-- the XLG Fruit Processing Company. XLG group of companies will formally be signing a Memorandum of Agreement with 55 local farmers/landowners from Marilog District belonging to the Malikongkong Mabbasuk Farmers Association under the umbrella of Pegsabeka Inc headed by Davao City Councilor Datu Rudy Mande. This agreement will pave the way for the initial planting of durian trees to 55 hectares of land in Marilog Proper. The 55 hectares is just the start though for XLG is planning to cultivate hundreds to thousands of hectares of land for durian plantation.

We have successfully produced 2 batches of JADAM Organic Farming students through our seminars in this company. The first batch had attended last January 24-25, 2023 . While the second batch had attended our most recent seminar held last April 28-29, 2023.

Coming from all walks of life and with different cultures and nationalities, we hope that everyone who attended experienced a paradigm shift in agriculture. We hope that everyone will stop producing food but healthy food; will have nature reliance rather than chemical reliance; and will choose sustainable productivity rather than temporary productivity.

ABOUT US
Currently, the Philippines ranks 4th in Durian export production behind Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. With the ever increasing demand overseas, supply remains short. For this reason, XLG Industrial Holdings (Philippines) Inc. was established in Davao City to address the shortage. XLG is going to export durian mainly and now directly to mainland China with President Bongbong Marcos' recent signed agreement allowing the export of fresh durian from Philippines to China.
The company also aims to grow their own durian of export quality mainly around the region of Mt. Apo, using the JADAM Ultra-Low-Cost Technology and employing locals, preferably those from the tribes to help in uplifting their quality of life. XLG is also exploring on other crops to help boost the Philippines’ food production and sufficiency.
