LIFE IS A MIST. PREPARE TO MEET YOUR GOD.
James 4:14 Amos 4:12
In the vast expanse of sea, a perilous place,
Where the waves embrace, and dangers we face.
A video unfolds, a tragic tale,
Of a crew united, in a ship set to sail.
The company warns, with reminders clear,
Training and guidelines, to hold our fear.
The International Maritime, amends the rules,
With studies tested, as wisdom's tools.
Yet accidents strike, like a thunder's roar,
Human errors dance, on a treacherous floor.
Eighty percent blame on our shoulders laid,
In the ship's shadow, where dangers are made.
Malfunctioning machines, stress, and fatigue,
Dance in the background, the perils intrigue.
The mooring wire, a silent assassin's thread,
Connects to the anchor, where life may be shed.
In a sudden twist, fate takes a turn,
A crew falls victim, as the wires burn.
Released with hope, a deadly arc,
A life extinguished, in the ship's dark.
In this maritime tale, a lesson profound,
Precautions abound, yet sorrows surround.
Life at sea, and life on land,
Both ephemeral, like grains of sand.
Life, a mist that swiftly fades,
Morning alive, but in the evening shades,
An accident's stroke, an unexpected blow,
Two souls departed, in the undertow.
As the video echoes the sailors' plight,
So does life whisper, in the fading light.
Prepare, the scripture warns with a nod,
To meet thy God, for life is but a vapor's prod.
James speaks true, in words so wise,
Life's brevity, a truth that lies.
A phantom's journey, to and fro,
We bustle, amass, yet what do we know?
Fragile as glass, this life we hold,
In Psalm's verse, the story is told.
Teach us, O Lord, our days to number,
To grow in wisdom, to avoid life's encumber.
In the ship, on the sea, and in the soul,
Preparation is key, to reach the goal.
"Prepare to meet thy God," the message rings,
A moment's notice, to the eternal springs.
In the Spurgeon Library, echoes resound,
"Prepare to meet thy God," in life unbound.
A call to be firm, stable, and ready,
For the final meeting, on shores steady.
