On the 5th of August 2026, all employees of Ateneo de Davao University are warmly invited to the Institutional Convocation and Day of Recollection, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the 4th Floor of Martin Hall, Jacinto Campus.

With the theme "Remembering with Gratitude, Responding with Hope," this gathering invites the University community into shared reflection and discernment, honoring the graces of the year that has passed and looking with hope toward the year of mission ahead.

⏰ Registration Deadline: 5:00 PM, Monday, 3 August 2026

📅 Class Schedule: To ensure full faculty and staff participation, classes at all levels will be held asynchronously on this day.

📍 Attendance: Mandatory for all full-time employees. Part-time employees are warmly welcome to join.

🚌 As shuttle services will be provided, buses will depart at 7:30 AM from two meetup points:

1. The Lay-bay in Matina Campus; and
2. In front of the Registrar’s Office in Bangkal Campus.

Employees arriving after 7:30 AM may proceed directly to Jacinto Campus.

IN PHOTOS | The Ateneo de Davao University hosted Dr. Forhad Hossain, Assistant Professor at Sophia University, Japan, for a series of academic and cultural engagements across Davao City, from 2 to 4 July 2026.
What began as a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)-enhanced initiative has grown into a meaningful international academic partnership.
His visit began with a cultural immersion at Museo Dabawenyo, followed by a meeting with the ADDVentures Innovation Center to discuss entrepreneurship education, startup ecosystem development, and innovation management. He was also hosted by Davao del Norte State College, where he served as a resource speaker for its International Lecture Program, engaging faculty and Entrepreneurship students in discussions on empathy-driven entrepreneurial ecosystems and the role of artificial intelligence in sustainable development.
The visit culminated at Ateneo de Davao University with an International Learning Session on "Designing Empathy-Driven Entrepreneurial Ecosystems for a Sustainable Society," co-organized with the School of Business and Governance. An exploratory meeting followed, where both institutions identified areas for future collaboration in research, faculty engagement, and joint COIL initiatives.
Before concluding his visit, Dr. Hossain delivered a Global Visiting Lecture at the University of the Immaculate Conception and met with its Innovation Center to discuss further opportunities for academic and innovation partnerships.
