The Philippine Federation of Credit Cooperatives (PFCCO) National successfully held its 3rd Face-to-Face League Managers' Meeting and Board Meeting on July 10–11, 2026, at Widus Hotel, Clark, Pampanga.

The two-day gathering brought together League Managers from PFCCO's regional leagues, members of the National Board of Directors, and newly elected officers in a unified effort to strengthen collaboration, align strategic priorities, and advance the Federation's mission of building stronger and more resilient cooperatives nationwide.

The meetings served as an important venue for discussing key organizational initiatives, reviewing strategic directions, and reinforcing the shared commitment of PFCCO leaders to responsive, transparent, and forward-looking governance. Through meaningful dialogue and collaborative planning, participants reaffirmed their collective responsibility to lead the Federation with integrity, excellence, and a steadfast commitment to serving member cooperatives.

A defining moment of the event was the Leadership Induction Ceremony, where the newly elected officers formally took their oath of office. The ceremony was solemnly administered by Assistant Regional Director Carolina Miguel of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region III, marking the official assumption of office by the Federation's new leaders. More than a ceremonial tradition, the oath signified a renewed pledge to uphold the cooperative principles, practice ethical leadership, and faithfully carry forward PFCCO National's vision and mission.

Immediately following the induction ceremony, the newly elected officers participated in a comprehensive Onboarding Program, designed to orient them on PFCCO National's governance framework, strategic priorities, organizational structure, and key responsibilities. The onboarding concluded the two-day leadership gathering by equipping the officers with the knowledge and direction needed to effectively fulfill their roles and begin their term with clarity, confidence, and a shared sense of purpose.

PFCCO National extends its sincere appreciation to 𝑷𝑭𝑪𝑪𝑶 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒖𝒛𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒆 for graciously hosting these significant activities. Their exceptional hospitality, meticulous preparation, and unwavering support were instrumental in the successful conduct of the meetings, the Leadership Induction Ceremony, and the onboarding program.

As PFCCO National embarks on a new chapter under its newly inducted leaders, the Federation remains committed to fostering unity, strengthening governance, and championing initiatives that empower cooperatives and transform communities across the country.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐭𝐬 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐅𝐂𝐂𝐎 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥

As part of its continuing commitment to strengthening member cooperatives, the Philippine Federation of Credit Cooperatives National (PFCCO National) in partnership with PFCCO Bicol successfully facilitated the Strategic Planning Assessment and Workshop for BADEVCO on July 13–15, 2026, in San Lorenzo Ruiz, Camarines Norte.

The three-day workshop was facilitated by Dr. Mildredo T. Umbac, Chief Executive Officer of DCCCO Multipurpose Cooperative, Vice Chairperson of PFCCO National, and Chairperson of the National Training Institute (NTIP), together with Ms. Ruby D. Salvador, Chief Executive Officer of PFCCO National, who served as co-facilitator.

Drawing from his extensive experience as a cooperative leader, Dr. Umbac challenged both the Board of Directors and the Management Team to critically assess the cooperative's current realities and identify strategic priorities that will ensure long-term sustainability and relevance. He emphasized that strategic planning goes beyond setting goals—it requires disciplined ex*****on, operational excellence, and a culture of accountability and discipline.

On the management side, participants gained valuable insights into addressing operational challenges, strengthening organizational performance, improving member value, and fostering a results-driven culture. Meanwhile, on the governance side, Dr. Umbac underscored that leadership in cooperatives is anchored not only on competence but, more importantly, on integrity. He reminded cooperative leaders that whenever faced with a choice between what is merely legal and what is morally right, they should always choose the latter, as cooperatives exist first and foremost to safeguard the welfare and best interests of their members.

The workshop also served as a meaningful opportunity for reflection, dialogue, and alignment, enabling BADEVCO's leaders to revisit their strategic direction and reaffirm their commitment to responsible governance, sound management, and member-centered service.
