On January 24โ25, 2026, at the Barangay Hall of Barangay Llamera, Municipality of Libjo, Province of Dinagat Islands, a ๐ง๐๐ผ-๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐ /๐๐๐ ๐ค๐๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ Open Training was successfully conducted under the SDMP โ Enterprise Development and Networking.
The activity was led by Mr. Arnold A. Valle, owner of Avals Apiary and Products, together with his teamโMs. Malaya Valle, Mr. Roland Valle, and Ms. Lesly Jhoy Valleโfrom Lingion, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines.
Mr. Valle served as the resource person and delivered an in-depth and comprehensive discussion on key aspects of bee farming. The lectures covered proper hive management practices, a clear understanding of honeybee biology, and the identification, utilization, and value-adding of honeybee products and by-products.
The discussions also included common pests and diseases affecting honeybees, their prevention and management, as well as the proper use and maintenance of essential tools and equipment. These topics were complemented by practical demonstrations, allowing participants to apply the knowledge gained and strengthen their capacity for sustainable bee farming.
The training also featured an actual honey-harvesting demonstration, providing participants with hands-on experience in proper harvesting techniques to ensure product quality and sustainability. In addition, participants gained practical skills in producing value-added by-products from beeswax, such as soap making.
At the same time, Stagno Mining Corporation, through Engr. Jenny Rose T. Gabuya (Resident Mine Manager), duly represented by Ms. Maricelle M. Creencia (Community Relations Officer), successfully turned over seven (7) bee colonies and other essential equipment to the Barangay Llamera Bee Farmers Association as beneficiaries of our Bee Farming Project, led by Ms. Jocelyn Paltiquera (LBFA President), with the meaningful support of the Barangay Officials of Barangay Llamera, headed by Hon. Jonard Pabua (Punong Barangay).
This project underscored the companyโs commitment to promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities and supporting community-based agricultural development through the implementation of the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP).
