Have faith in your skills, maintain concentration, and keep your sights set on the goal. Our hearts go out to our Filipino brothers and sisters in Surigao and throughout Mindanao who have been devastated by the recent earthquakes. We understand your feelings of worry, anxiety, and uncertainty during this trying time.

We'd like you to know you're not alone. We are all here for you, ready to offer our help and support in any way we can. We are sending you our thoughts and prayers, as well as our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

These events serve as a sharp reminder of the necessity of disaster preparedness and the need to address the causes of natural disasters. We must rebuild and recover while still working to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The SDGs are a series of 17 global goals aimed at ending poverty, protecting the environment, and ensuring that all people live in peace and prosperity by 2030. The SDGs must be met in order to reduce the risk of natural catastrophes and build more resilient communities.

We can all contribute to achieving the SDGs. One and united, we can work around these challenges and create a brighter future for our respective communities.

In the meantime, we ask everyone to help, in one way or another, those adversely affected by these earthquakes. Your donations, time, and compassion can make a huge difference.

Today, we celebrate the profession that makes the world go round, and the people who have mastered the art and science of numbers. Whether you are aspiring to be an auditor, a tax consultant, a financial analyst, or any other role in the accounting field, you are part of a long and rich history of accounting that dates back thousands of years.

Did you know that the first accounting systems were used to track the exchange of goods between temples in Mesopotamia around 5,000 B.C.? Or that the double-entry bookkeeping method that we still use today was introduced by an Italian mathematician named Luca Pacioli in 1494? Or that accounting is one of the highest paying business majors, with a wide range of opportunities and challenges?

We hope you enjoy this special day and appreciate the value and impact of accounting in our lives. Thank you for being part of our community!

𝙄𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩: 𝙋𝙖𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙙 2023

Aimed at raising awareness on the in's-and-out's of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants, kickstarting networking opportunities, as well as fostering professional and personal growth among its members, the JPIA-MMGCGSCI Chapter conducted Paanad 2023: Chapter Membership Orientation on October 21, 2023 at the Audio-visual Room, this School.

Among who graced the event were the Nfjpia - Region XII Regional Council President Mark Peter Hallegado and Vice President for Membership Dexc Creedence Bernal, who provided the members with a backgrounder on the organization, as well as on membership perks and responsibilities.

During the said activity, the newly-elected local chapter officers—led by its President, Ann Jellie Jamora—were also sworn into office.

The School's local chapter makes its comeback as one of the returning members of NFJPIA-RXII, boasting a 100% membership conversion rate. JPIA-MMGCGSCI is also among the first local chapters to have finalized its membership requirements.

Said initiative is also anticipated to bridge opportunities from higher-level JPIA to members of JPIA-MMGCGSCI, paving the way to their professional and personal excellence.

Also present during the activity were the local chapter's teacher-adviser, Sir Rovern Keith Cuenca, and student-adviser, Karlo Jayson Abila.
