One of the management lessons I learned in UP is the Change Theory which explains how changes may result to organizational failure if not handled effectively! Major change may include but not limited to change in Leadership, Structure or a Major Process. What driver can cause change the most other than a crisis like pandemic?
One framework for this is the unfreeze, change and freeze framework which may be manifested to a well crafted communication strategy. But what is it to communicate if there is really no strategy in the first place?
I am thinking, this theory might explain why companies have high attrition rate even in the middle of a pandemic when people would resign to work due to stress over the consideration of having no work.
This is a very interesting phenomenon!
The ability of the management to communicate effectively under a major change such as the pandemic is critical and cannot be underestimated!
