ATTN VISA APPLICANTS!
If you’re planning to apply for a South Korean visa, here’s an important update from the Korean Embassy you need to take note of. The embassy will no longer provide a printed copy of your Visa Grant Notice, which is the document you’ll receive for approved visas.
“The Visa Grant Notice has been transformed into a digital notice,” the Korean Visa Center (KVAC) Philippines shared in a post.
While a printed visa sticker on one’s passport has long been scrapped, the embassy usually still provides the printed notice with the applicant’s passport. But with this new policy, it is the applicant’s responsibility to access, download, and print their notice from the official website.
How do I check and download the file?
You can easily check your visa result through the Korea Visa Portal and follow these steps:
1. Visit https://visa.go.kr/ and head to Check Application status
2. Click Check Application Status & Print and choose “Diplomatic Office”
3. Provide your passport number, name in English, and date of birth
4. Click “Search”
The Korean visa application process and requirements remain the same.
