A little teacher win I had to share...

Today, something happened that made me stop for a moment.

I had just finished a lesson with one of my students, Linda, a Colombian and a Spanish teacher as well, based in California. We had been working on building sentences from simple ideas, using prompts like What? Where? Who? When? How? I was beginning to see something I hadn't fully understood about her before.

She doesn't simply need more vocabulary.

She needs space and structure to turn what she already knows into language.

When I give her a concrete idea, a picture, or a thought to explore, and a simple structure to help organize it, something happens: she starts talking. She struggles, yes. She makes grammar mistakes. She sometimes searches for the right word.

But she keeps going.

And lately, I've noticed something else.

She's translating less from Spanish.

That little change means a lot to me.

Because sometimes progress doesn't look like perfect grammar. Sometimes it looks like a learner being willing to stay in the conversation while searching for the words.

Today, after class, I was actually thinking that perhaps it was time to ask Linda for a review.

Then I went to withdraw my earnings...

And there it was.

A 5-star review from Linda.

“She is amazing.” ❤️

And the funny thing?

I hadn't even asked her yet. 😂❤️

What made it even more special is that Linda had previously told me something I'll probably remember for a long time. She said that some lessons focused on teaching her words, while my lessons challenged her to use those words and practice them.

That distinction has been helping me understand my own teaching more clearly, too.

I'm learning that personalized teaching isn't always about finding more things to teach.

Sometimes, it's about paying close enough attention to discover what is keeping a particular learner from using what they already know.

For Linda, I think we're finally finding that door.

And today's little 5-star surprise felt like a lovely reminder that we're heading in the right direction.

By the way, both she and her husband, a teacher as well as an artist, have been having regular schedules with me for a few months already and counting! I am very honored for the trust.

Still learning. Still experimenting. Still building. One learner at a time. ❤️

Tonight's vibe coding session unlocked a whole new rabbit hole. 😂💻✨

I came in curious about AI-assisted website building and somehow ended up exploring a whole new world of prompts, code, design, prototypes, and possibilities.

And the funny part? Some of the things we were learning tonight weren't completely new to me. I've already been playing around with Figma, Google AI Studio, CodePen, and a few other tools. What I was missing was the sequence—how all these pieces actually connect.

Tonight, that started to click.

So naturally… I started thinking:

“Why not rebuild The Mari Effect this way?” 😂🌸

The website is already due for an overhaul, traffic is still manageable, and I have absolutely no problem sacrificing a few things for the sake of the art. HAHAHA.

Now I'm looking at websites differently—not just as pages, but as experiences: photography, video, galleries, storytelling, interactive elements, and the systems underneath them.

And apparently, I have several more tools to explore, I didn't know possible! Code… the rabbit hole continues. 😂

New skill unlocked. New ideas loading. The Mari Effect 2.0 might just become our next little laboratory. ❤️

Grateful for nights like this—and to Coach Sarah and the Maven HQ coaches who made us brave enough to experiment.

A brand evolution is more than a new logo. It's a clearer understanding of who you are, what you do, and how all the pieces connect.

Tonight, Coach Vee walked us through that thinking beautifully during the Krafted Lab Brand Evolution Launch—from personal branding and positioning to systems, content, offers, and the bigger picture.

One of the biggest takeaways for me was the reminder that our skills aren't our ceiling. A skill gets us through the door, but thinking beyond the task allows that skill to become part of something bigger. We can move from ex*****on to direction, from projects to systems, from deliverables to outcomes, and from simply making things look good to making them work.

I especially loved the idea that we don't have to start over to evolve. The projects, experiences, experiments, mistakes, and lessons we've accumulated along the way can become the very foundation we're building from.

And then there's the personal brand piece. Our personal brand can be the laboratory where we share what we're learning, testing, building, and discovering, while the business brand gives those ideas structure through our methods, systems, offers, and the work we do.

That distinction really resonated with me.

Because a brand isn't just about what we sell. It's also about what we come to be known for, how we think, what we believe, and how we connect the pieces.

And the best part? Coach Vee didn't just teach us the framework but he is generously sharing a template so we can begin working on our own brand evolution.

Tonight's session with Coach Mary Amorin was another one of those learning experiences that makes you pause and look at your own work a little differently.

Part 2 of Beyond Content 2027 went beyond simply asking, “What should we post?”

It got me thinking more deeply about why we're creating the content in the first place, where each piece fits, how platforms can work together, and how content can become part of a bigger strategy rather than just another item on the calendar.

From social media and SEO to visuals, content formats, and the different ways we can repurpose and connect ideas across platforms, there was so much to take in.

And this is probably what excited me most:

I can already see how these strategies can be applied to The Mari Effect.

I've been learning, experimenting, building, rebuilding, and documenting so much behind the scenes. Sessions like this help connect those individual pieces and give me new ways to look at what I'm already creating.

Now comes the fun part:

Taking what I learned and actually putting it into practice.

I'm genuinely excited to explore these strategies, experiment with them, and see how they can help The Mari Effect become more intentional—not just in what we publish, but in how the entire brand communicates and shows up.

And to Coach Mary Amorin—thank you for being so generous with your knowledge and experience. ❤️

There is something incredibly special about learning from someone who doesn't just share information, but gives you new ways to think about your work.

And honestly...

I still can't believe this was a FREE webinar!

The amount of value, practical insights, resources, and ideas shared tonight was incredible.

So worth showing up.

So worth taking notes.

And definitely worth exploring further.

Tonight’s AI Video Content Creation session with Coach Ali Mejoreada was actually a continuation of what he taught us before—and I loved seeing how everything connected.

Last time, we learned about prompting for filmmaking. This time, we went deeper into how to strategize our content and visuals, navigate different AI tools, and actually bring those ideas together and polish the final output.

And Coach Ali introduced us to some really valuable free resources for AI video generation.

Of course, I had to play! 😂

Remember the “Ashes of the Girl I Was” song we created with Suno, inspired by my love for Amy Lee’s music? And that dramatic girl supposedly hanging for her life that I experimented with in Kling? 😅

Tonight, I finally got to show a little sneak peek of some of the things I've been cooking behind the scenes.

What I love most about these sessions is that they don't just give me another tool to try. They help me understand how the tools fit into an actual creative process.

So yes… I’m learning.
I’m experimenting.
I’m making things.

And apparently, I’m having WAY too much fun doing it. 😂

Starting the day with a masterclass. ✨

I’m sitting in my first masterclass with Dr. Shadé Zahrai, The Hidden Rules of Getting Ahead, and I’m genuinely excited to learn.

One thing that immediately caught my attention:

“If you’re capable + you work hard = you’ll get ahead.”

Most of us were taught to believe this.

But what if there are other rules at play—ones we were never explicitly taught?

As someone building The Mari Effect around calm operations, confident visibility, and strategic partnership, these are exactly the conversations I want to keep learning from.

Not just how to work harder.

But how to work with greater clarity, intention, and impact.

Tonight’s free webinar on the Introduction to Generative AI left me with a very familiar feeling: excitement, but also the realization that many of the things I’ve been experimenting with over the past few months were actually taking me in the right direction.

Coach Jay Felix shared so much more than I expected, and while there were certainly things I learned tonight, what struck me most was seeing the bigger picture of what Generative AI can actually do when you learn how to work with it intentionally.

It also made me look back at the things we’ve already been doing with Finding Mari, Level Up With Drei, our storytelling experiments, and the many little projects we’ve been building along the way. I’ve spent quite a bit of time exploring different tools—Runway, Higgsfield, Grok, Kling, ElevenLabs, Suno, Google AI, and others. Some were trials, some were paid subscriptions, and some were simply experiments to see what was possible.

At the time, they sometimes felt like separate explorations. Looking at them now, I realize that every one of them was teaching me something.

I’m definitely not claiming to be an expert in Generative AI. I still have a lot to learn. But I can say that it feels so much more approachable now than it did when I first started. I understand the tools better, I’m becoming more comfortable with prompting and iteration, and I’m beginning to understand one of the most important parts of the process: **control**.

AI can generate a lot of things, but getting closer to the thing you actually imagined requires knowing how to direct it, refine it, and make creative decisions along the way.

And that brings me to the part that really got me excited tonight.

I’ve been carrying several personal passion projects in my head for quite some time. Some of them have felt too ambitious, too complicated, or simply too difficult to bring to life with the time and resources I have.

But lately, I’ve been borrowing Coach Sarah Rose Tamparong’s favorite question:

**What if?**

What if I can actually push through with some of these ideas?

What if Finding Mari can grow into something bigger? What if we can continue building Level Up With Drei in a way that feels meaningful? What if I finally get to explore the Starlight Tales and Tinytrails instead of keeping them in the “someday” pile?

I don’t know yet where these projects will lead. And maybe that’s the exciting part.

I just know that tonight reminded me that some of these ideas may not be as impossible as they once seemed.

I’m also incredibly grateful to be part of the Mavens HQ community and to learn from people who generously share what they know. Coaches like Jay Felix and Sarah Rose Tamparong and the rest have certainly added fuel to this journey.

So, no big declarations tonight. Just a renewed sense of curiosity, a whole lot of ideas, and one question I’m taking with me:

**What if?**

Maybe it’s time to find out. ✨

Okay… I might have to show off a little tonight. 😂

We were introduced to vibe coding, and one of our exercises was to build a website with AI.

So I gave it a coffee shop concept…

And a few seconds later, this appeared.

Is it perfectly polished? Nope.

Would I still refine the copy, UX, responsiveness, and all the little details before handing it to a client? Absolutely.

But the fact that I can go from idea → working website concept in seconds is pretty mind-blowing.

And honestly?

I'm having WAY too much fun with this. 😂

Still learning. Still experimenting. Still building.

But apparently… I vibe now. 😎💻✨

Sometimes the opportunity we walk away from teaches us more than the one we accept.

This week, I stepped away from an opportunity that initially looked like a good fit.

And in doing so, I became much clearer about the kind of work I actually want to build.

The experience reminded me of something I believe strongly in:

**A tool is only valuable when it solves a real problem.**

Whether we're talking about CRM, AI, automation, websites, or workflows, the question shouldn't simply be:

*"What does this software do?"*

It should be:

**"What changes in the business because this system exists?"**

That distinction brought me back to the heart of The Mari Effect:

🌸 Calm operations
🌸 Clear systems
🌸 Confident visibility

I don't want to simply recommend tools.

I want to understand the problem first, design the right system, and then use the tools that make the solution possible.

Sometimes clarity comes from saying yes.

Sometimes it comes from saying no.

And sometimes...

the no reveals the yes you've been looking for all along.

Sometimes walking away from an opportunity creates more career clarity than accepting it. Here's what I learned about alignment, growth, and finding my path.

Tonight’s learning is taking me deeper into something I’ve been exploring for a while: CRM workflows and automation.

And I’m realizing that building a workflow is only one part of the job.

We’re also learning how to audit and troubleshoot automations—how to trace what happened when a lead didn’t move to the next pipeline stage, when a workflow appears to skip a step, or when something simply doesn’t behave the way it was designed to.

What makes it even more interesting is that we’re looking at different entry points, including native GHL forms and vibe-coded forms, and how they feed information into the CRM.

So instead of asking only:

“Did the automation run?”

We’re learning to ask:

Where did the journey break? Why did it break? And what happens next?

This is the kind of learning I really enjoy—the part where technology meets logic, systems thinking, and a little detective work.

Still learning. Still testing. Still getting my hands dirty.

And honestly? I’m loving this rabbit hole. 😂
