๐๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ of Iloilo City Central Fire Station served as a resource speaker during the World Environmental Health Day celebration at Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC), Mandurriao, Iloilo City. He discussed fire prevention and safety practices in line with this yearโs theme, โEnvironmental Health: Standing with Science to Protect Communities.โ
Through the activity, WVMC employees gained practical knowledge on reducing fire risks and responding effectively to emergencies. Fire prevention is closely connected to environmental health, as preventing fire incidents helps reduce harmful smoke, pollutants, and damage to the surrounding environment.
Celebrated every September, World Environmental Health Day highlights the importance of science-based practices in creating healthier surroundings and safer workplaces. By turning knowledge into action, everyone can contribute to protecting both people and the environment for a safer and more sustainable future.
