The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region VI warns the public against fraudulent activities involving individuals who falsely represent themselves as BFP personnel to solicit money, place fake orders, or request sensitive information.

In this regard, the public is advised not to immediately trust calls or messages from unknown numbers requesting payments or transactions, nor to send money or disclose personal or financial information such as OTPs, bank details, or account credentials.

If such an incident occurs, verify the identity of the caller or sender by directly contacting the nearest Fire Station in your area through official communication channels, and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities for immediate action.

The BFP Region VI reiterates that official transactions are conducted through proper procedures and authorized channels. Any request that appears irregular or urgent should be treated with caution.

It was an absolute pleasure hosting the enthusiastic student volunteers and facilitators from the University of San Agustin - National Service Reserve Corps (USA-NSRC) earlier today at the Iloilo City Fire Station!

As part of their 3-day DRR Camp, "Handa kag Husto: USA NSRC Disaster Preparedness and Mobilization Initiative," around 60 future disaster-resilient leaders dropped by for a KABALAKA TOUR.

Thank you, USA-NSRC Office and Ms. Ma. Consejo S. Centeno, for choosing our station as a partner in your capability-building initiative. Your discipline, eagerness to learn, and commitment to community safety are truly inspiring!
