DTI Sultan Kudarat Concludes 3-Day Youth Entrepreneurship Program โ Be Your Own Boss (YEP-BYOB) 2026
ISULAN, SULTAN KUDARAT | June 18, 2026 โ The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Sultan Kudarat concluded the Youth Entrepreneurship Program โ Be Your Own Boss (YEP-BYOB) 2026, held from June 16 to 18, 2026, bringing together 25 aspiring young entrepreneurs across the province for three days of intensive learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth, YEP-BYOB 2026 provided participants with an immersive and interactive learning experience anchored on the programโs 15 entrepreneurship modules. The sessions covered essential business areas, including Entrepreneurial Mindsetting, Marketing, Operations Management, Financial Management, and other fundamental topics that equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the competencies needed to start and sustain a business.
Throughout the three-day program, participants engaged in a variety of learning activities, including lectures, workshops, group discussions, simulations, entrepreneurial games, and an enterprise visit that bridged classroom concepts with real-world business practices. They also gained valuable insights into financial literacy, digital entrepreneurship, business innovation, and the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The program culminated in the Business Pitching Activity, where participants presented business concepts they had developed during the training. The activity challenged them to apply the knowledge and skills they had acquired by demonstrating the feasibility, creativity, and market potential of their proposed business ideas before a panel of evaluators. It also provided a platform for participants to strengthen their communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills while receiving constructive feedback from industry and entrepreneurship advocates.
