₱34.5-M SUSPECTED CO***NE IN 5 SEALED BAGS TURNED OVER IN QUEZON; PNP PROBES SOURCE

The Philippine National Police (PNP), under the leadership of Chief, PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., is conducting a thorough investigation following the voluntary turnover of five (5) tape-sealed plastic bags containing white crystalline substance suspected to be co***ne in Brgy. Busdak, Patnanungan, Quezon on May 16, 2026.

A 52-year-old male resident of Brgy. Busdak voluntarily surrendered the items to the Patnanungan Municipal Police Station. The recovered substances weighed approximately 6,514.7 grams with an estimated Standard Drug Price amounting to ₱34,528,387.00.

PNP personnel immediately secured the items upon receipt and prepared these for submission to the Quezon Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination to determine their chemical composition and confirm the nature of the substance.

The PNP is currently conducting a deeper investigation to determine the source of the suspected illegal drugs, identify possible networks involved, and establish how the items came into the possession of the individual who turned them over.

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda, the organization continues to strengthen its Enhanced Managing Police Operations, particularly in intensifying anti-illegal drug operations, ensuring proper evidence handling, and reinforcing case build-up and investigative procedures.

“We are determined to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and ensure that all persons responsible will be held accountable under the law,” said Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., Chief, PNP.

As the PNP continues its investigation and laboratory validation under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it assures the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”

Lot’s Wife – Bible Story & Lessons
Why did Lot's wife looked back?

📖 The Story
Lot’s wife appears in Genesis 19. God sent angels to destroy S***m and Gomorrah because of their great wickedness.
Lot and his family were warned to flee the city. The angels gave a clear command:

“Do not look back, and do not stop anywhere in the plain.” (Genesis 19:17)

As they were escaping, Lot’s wife looked back, and she was turned into a pillar of salt.

(Genesis 19:26).
Jesus later referred to her as a warning:
“Remember Lot’s wife.” (Luke 17:32)

🧂 Why Did She Look Back?
The Bible doesn’t explain her thoughts directly, but many understand that she:

Longed for her old life
Had attachment to sinful surroundings
Hesitated to fully obey God
Loved the comfort and security of S***m
Her look was more than curiosity—it showed a heart still tied to what God was judging.

📌 Lessons from Lot’s Wife
Partial obedience is disobedience
She left the city but did not fully obey God’s command.
Let go of the past when God calls you forward
Looking back can stop spiritual growth.
Attachment to sin brings destruction
S***m represented a life God had condemned.
Delayed obedience can be fatal
Obedience must be immediate and complete.

A warning for the last days.
Jesus used her story to teach readiness and faithfulness before His return (Luke 17:28–33)
✝️ Practical Application Today
When God calls you to change, don’t look back.
Trust that what God saves you from is not worth returning to.
Choose faith over familiarity.
Follow God wholeheartedly, not halfway.
