I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to NUP Aileen May S. Dela-Paz, PSAO of Basilan PPO, for being adjudged as Best Non-Uniformed Personnel (Non-Supervisory Level) during the PRO BAR Philippine National Police Day 2026 Celebration held at Camp BGEN Salipada K. Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.

This prestigious recognition is not only a testament to her competence and dedication but also a reflection of her unwavering commitment to public service. For almost ten (10) years in the Philippine National Police, NUP Dela-Paz has faithfully served with integrity, professionalism, and passion. As the Accountable Officer of Basilan PPO, she has consistently demonstrated excellence in managing her responsibilities with accuracy, transparency, and accountability.

Throughout her years of service, she has proven that true leadership is not defined by rank or position, but by the quality of work, character, and dedication one brings to the organization every single day. She performs her duties not merely to comply with requirements, but to uphold the trust entrusted to her office. Sa araw na ito, ipinagdiriwang natin ang Culmination Activity ng 29 immersion students mula sa Colony National High School under the strands of ICT, GAS, and Cookery. My heart is full of pride and gratitude because completing the 80-hour Immersion Program at Lamitan City Police Station is not easy. Hindi lang ito bilang ng oras,@ ito ay proseso ng pagbabago, paghubog ng karakter, at paglinang ng kakayahan.

Sa loob ng inyong immersion, dumaan tayo sa maraming pagsubok, may pressure, may pagod, may adjustments, at minsan may misunderstandings. But above all these, one lesson remained clear, we are one team. Walang nagtatagumpay mag-isa. In the real workplace, especially in the police service, teamwork is very important. Success is built through cooperation, communication, and trust.

Bilang inyong mentor, lagi kong binibigyang-diin: do not be afraid to ask questions. Ang pagtatanong ay hindi tanda ng kahinaan; ito ay tanda ng willingness to learn. Growth starts when you admit that you don’t know everything. Ang tunay na matalino ay hindi ‘yung maraming alam, kundi ‘yung handang matuto araw-araw.

Naniniwala ako na shaping your mind is both a responsibility and a privilege. Skills can be learned, but character must be developed. Isa sa mga pinakaimportanteng aral na gusto kong baunin ninyo ay time management. Kapag marunong kang rumespeto sa oras, marunong ka ring rumespeto sa tao at sa trabaho mo. Yes, may consequences kapag late minsan sumasayaw, minsan kumakanta. Hindi lang iyon simpleng parusa, kundi paalala na professionalism starts with respecting time. In the real world, discipline will set you apart.

Sa inyong lahat na immersion students, congratulations for a job well done. You proved that you can adapt, you can endure, and you can grow. Lumabas kayo sa inyong comfort zone at hinarap ang realidad ng isang professional environment. Dalhin ninyo ang mga natutunan ninyo discipline, teamwork, responsibility, initiative dahil ito ang magiging puhunan ninyo sa inyong future careers.

To the teachers of Colony National High School, maraming salamat po. Your guidance and dedication prepared these students long before they came to us. You taught them not just to complete requirements, but to think critically, to analyze problems, and to create solutions. That is true education.

Mga estudyante, tandaan ninyo, we are not here by accident. May dahilan kung bakit tayo nandito, at may mission tayong kailangang tuparin. Your immersion may have ended, but your journey is just beginning. Huwag kayong matakot mangarap. Huwag kayong matakot magsimula. At higit sa lahat, huwag kayong tumigil matuto.

Continue to grow. Continue to believe in yourself. Continue to serve with integrity and purpose.

After a year receiving my recognition, I am deeply honored and grateful to once again receive an Award of Commendation from the Basilan Police Provincial Office. This recent award is not merely a symbol of achievement, but a reflection of hard work, perseverance, and unwavering dedication in the field particularly through the Adopt-A-School Program and the Adopt-A-Madrasah Program.

As a Project Coordinator and a maker of project proposals, I have always believed that leadership is not about titles but about responsibility. Behind every approved proposal is a vision to create change. Behind every implemented project is a commitment to uplift lives. Through these programs, I was given the opportunity to help my fellow Lamiteños, especially the learners who deserve better facilities, learning materials, and a supportive environment where they can grow academically and morally.

The journey was never easy. There were challenges, limited resources, and moments of doubt. Yet, hardship became my teacher. Every obstacle strengthened my resolve. I learned that true service requires patience, resilience, and a heart willing to sacrifice for the greater good. Standing here today, I carry not only pride but hope the hope that small efforts, when done consistently and sincerely, can create meaningful impact in the community.

Being part of Police Community Relations opened my eyes to the many realities faced by our people. I have seen communities struggling, schools needing support, and learners aspiring for brighter futures despite limited means. These experiences became my driving force. They reminded me that our duty as public servants goes beyond maintaining peace and order; it extends to building bridges, fostering partnerships, and responding to the needs of those who seek help.

This award of commendation is not mine alone. It belongs to every partner, every volunteer, every supporter, and every learner who inspired me to continue. It is a testament that when dedication meets purpose, recognition naturally follows. More importantly, it affirms that service rooted in compassion will always bear fruit.

I remain committed to striving harder, reaching farther, and serving better. For as long as there are communities in need and learners who dream of a brighter tomorrow, I will continue to stand with hope and pride ready to serve.
