SB Corp Financing Program Reaches 54 Micro Enterprises in Surigao del Sur
The Small Business Corporation (SB Corp), the financing arm of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), continues to expand access to credit for microenterprises in Surigao del Sur, helping them address ongoing economic challenges such as rising fuel costs and increasing operational expenses.
For the period January 2-March 15, 2026, SB Corp has released a total of ₱14.7 million in financing assistance to 54 microenterprise borrowers across the province, including key cities of Tandag and Bislig.
The program provides accessible financing for working capital and business expansion, enabling microenterprises to sustain operations, stabilize costs, and improve productivity amid current economic pressures. Notably, the highest loan availed by a single borrower reached ₱1 million, reflecting SB Corp’s capacity to support both working capital needs and small-scale business expansion.
Through continued collaboration with local stakeholders, SB Corp remains committed to strengthening financial inclusion and enhancing the resilience of microenterprises across the province.
Interested micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) may apply for SB Corp financing by visiting the DTI Surigao del Sur Provincial Office in Tandag City, DTI Bislig City and nearest Negosyo Center in their municipality. Business counselors are available to assist applicants how to avail of the program.
