When I started in insurance, I thought the biggest challenge would be learning how to sell.

But the longer I've been in the business, the more I realized it's really about people.

Learning how to:

• Start conversations
• Understand different financial situations
• Handle rejection
• Follow through
• Build trust
• Take care of clients long-term

It definitely pushed me outside my comfort zone.

And that's probably one of the biggest things this career has taught me.

• Long-term plans

Then helping them identify where they may need to prepare better.

There is sales involved, yes.

But there's also client relationship management, financial planning, communication, documentation, and continuous learning.
