Update your registration records now with the BIR to use the Online Registration and Update System (ORUS)!

All taxpayers who want to transact online with the BIR are advised to update their registration records first, such as e-mail address and contact information, using BIR Form S1905 - Registration Update Sheet (RUS) to be able to enroll and use the ORUS. The RUS shall be submitted via e-mail to the Revenue District Office (RDO) where the taxpayer is registered.

What is ORUS?
ORUS is a web-based system that taxpayers can use to register with the BIR and update their taxpayer registration information online, anytime and with real time access to their registration records.

• BIR Website - Attachment of RMC No. 122-2022, available in BIR website

Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Romeo "Jun" Lumagui Jr. issued Revenue Regulation 8 - 2023 reiterating the mandatory discounts/benefits for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities even for Online Transactions.

The signature of the SC/PWD is not needed if the purchase is made through online means.

LOOK: The Bureau of Internal Revenue Philippines (BIR) aims to streamline the documentary requirements and procedures in the filing and processing of VAT refund claims through the issuance of Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 71-2023 and Revenue Memorandum Order (RMO) No. 23-2023, both effective on July 1, 2023.

“Cutting the BIR requirements of VAT refund to half, is a historic step towards Ease of Doing Business. We hope that with this landmark issuance, taxpayers will realize that the BIR is now a service-oriented agency, not merely a goal-oriented one. We will continue to look for ways that will make the Philippines a haven for businesses and investments”, BIR Commissioner Romeo D. Lumagui Jr. said.
