Barangay Lasang

Barangay Lasang For events and activities of barangay lasang. It was first recognized as a barangay in the year 1964 after the inauguration of Davao City.

Lasang is one of the nine barangays which are in the outlying area of Bunawan District in a highly urbanized city of Davao, Davao del Sur. The leadership and management was lead by the late Graciano de Juan as the first barangay captain. Long before, the barangay was covered with a large portion of primeval forest land where trees and grass are grown everywhere.The term "LASANG" a visayan word me

ans "forested" was called by the local people to their barangay since the large area are coverd with a large tract of land with a thick growth of trees. Later on, the term "LASANG" was used as the name of barangay.
