🌿DOST-FPRDI’s Tubò FPTBI Joins Sustainability Solutions Exchange at International Food Exhibition (Ifex) Philippines🌿

The Sustainability Solutions Exchange (SSX) at IFEX Philippines 2026 is open at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, bringing together innovators, entrepreneurs, and sustainability advocates advancing environmentally responsible solutions.

The DOST-FPRDI, through its Tubò Forest Products Technology Business Incubator (Tubò FPTBI), is part of this year’s SSX, showcasing sustainability-driven enterprises that highlight local forest-based resources, green technologies, and community-centered innovation.

Featured incubatees include:
🥥Super Uling PH of Thega Coconut Farm - presenting innovative coconut-based charcoal briquettes.
🎋KrigKrafts - offering eco-friendly handcrafted products made from sustainable local materials;

Tubò FPTBI is currently participating in the DOST-FPRDI Earth Day 2026 Exhibit and Trade Fair at the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Central Office, San Miguel, Metro Manila. The activity is part of the DBM’s anniversary celebration this week and in line with this year’s Earth Day global theme - “Our Power, Our Planet.” The event will run from April 20 to April 22, 2026. It showcases DOST-FPRDI various technologies and innovations in partnership with their customers such technology adopters and Tubò FPTBI incubatees. This also demonstrate how science and technology transform local forest resources into sustainable, high impact solutions.

A key highlight of Tubò FPTBI’s participation is the active involvement of its incubatees, who are showcasing their innovative technologies and market-ready products. From eco-friendly handicrafts to high-value forest-based innovations, these startups exemplify how research and development translate into sustainable enterprises.

The exhibits reflect both environmental responsibility and commercial viability, reinforcing the role of incubation in driving green innovation. Visitors can explore how Tubò FPTBI is bridging the gap between R&D and a sustainable economy proving that investing in science-based solutions supports a greener and more resilient future.
