Salute to all the Farmers 🩷🙌
Saludo po kami sa Inyo!!
My father does not wear a suit.
He wears sunburn and calloused hands.
He wakes up at 5am, every day.
Barefoot, walking the field before the sun even rises. By six, his hands are already covered in soil.
By noon, it feels like the world is on fire. 40, 45 sometimes it feels like 50 degrees but there are no breaks when the sun gets too hot. No pause when your back starts to ache.
You just keep going because this is not
just a job, this is how he raised us.
This is how we survived.
We are a family of farmers. This land, our livestock, the crops, this is all we have.
And yet… they still price it so low.
Imagine working day and night,
only to be paid 14 pesos per kilo for rice grain.
Then I saw that same rice sold for 60 pesos at the market. How is that fair?
Mas mahal pa yung gastos kaysa sa kita.
Farming is not easy. It is blood. Sweat. Sacrifice. And farmers like my dad, like our neighbours, they deserve more than a thank you. They deserve fair pay. Better tools.
And respect.
That is why Ivana’s vlog matters.
because when someone like her chooses to care, I feel hope.
Farmers are not asking for praise.
They just want to be seen. To be paid fairly.
For the food they grow.
For the lives they feed.
Not all heroes wear uniforms. Some wear wide-brimmed hats, carry sacks heavier than their bodies, and quietly keep the country alive.
This is not just our story.
This is the story of thousands of families.
Who give everything they have,
and receive almost nothing in return.
