You know those moments when someone starts sharing their struggles, and your first instinct is to jump in with “Ako nga eh…” because you’ve been there too? 🥲
It feels natural, right? Like you’re saying, “gets kita,” but sometimes, even with the best intentions, what the other person really needs is just to be heard— not compared to, not matched, but truly listened to.

You don’t need fancy words or perfect advice. What really matters is that you’re there, truly there, to help them carry the weight. No advice needed. No judgment. No interruptions. 🫂

Because when you practice empathy this way, you’re not just hearing words, and you’re not just waiting for your turn to talk. You’re telling them that “I see you. You matter. You’re not alone.”

Empathy isn’t about proving you’ve been through the same storm— it’s about standing beside someone in theirs. In a world that often tells us to keep going and to tough it out, that kind of kindness is a breath of fresh air.

So next time, try this out every time you catch yourself saying “Ako nga eh”. Ask more. Listen deeper. Stay present. You might just be the reason someone feels a little less tired today. 🫶

From the Philippines to an international audience, our CEO’s story is making its way beyond borders. 🌏✨

We’re incredibly honored to share that our Chief Officer, John Reily D. Baluyot, was featured on “The FireFly Show” by international podcaster Katie Mok, joining a global conversation on career, leadership, and workplace wellbeing. ☀️

In this Spotify episode, John opens up about the unexpected turns in his career— from going through 100 job applications and taking a significant pay cut to become an HR Head, navigating burnout, pursuing further studies in Australia, and eventually co-founding a workplace wellbeing and management consulting company.

But beyond the career milestones, the conversation goes deeper. They explore the changing Philippine workplace, remote work and trust, Gen Z and AI in leadership, career pressure, burnout, and the importance of knowing when to pause and find your North Star.

We are very grateful for the opportunity to have John’s story and perspectives shared on an international platform, and we hope this conversation resonates with anyone who has ever wondered, “Am I still on the right path?”

Listen to the full interview on Spotify and join this meaningful conversation about career, leadership, and learning to move forward without leaving your wellbeing behind. Check out the interview here: https://open.spotify.com/episode/4yD7TpM09JgJPH8G9Af5EA?si=cg3COrYfTg2gCM9r6siEig 🎙️

What if workplace wellbeing wasn’t something we only talked about when something already went wrong? 🥲

As a leader, you might notice that someone on your team seems more withdrawn than usual. Maybe a once-engaged employee is struggling to keep up. Maybe tensions are building, people seem exhausted, or someone finally comes to you and says, “I’m having a hard time.”

Sometimes, the hardest part isn’t wanting to help. It’s knowing how.

That’s why we’re introducing a NEW Training Course for 2026: 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵-𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲. ✨

Designed for managers, people leaders, HR Business Partners, and L&D professionals, this practical course helps you recognize early signs of psychosocial strain, create healthier team practices, and respond appropriately when someone may need support.

Because mental health-informed leadership isn’t about diagnosing people or becoming their therapist. It’s about knowing what you can do as a leader, and doing it with awareness, care, and purpose. ☀️

You can care deeply about your team and still have difficult days as a leader.

There will be moments when you need to make decisions people may not immediately understand, address performance concerns, manage competing needs, or simply keep things moving when everyone is already stretched.

These moments don’t make you a bad leader, as they are part of the complexity of leading people. But even in difficult moments, the way we communicate, listen, and respond can make a meaningful difference.

Join us for our 2nd August PWebinar, 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀, where we will explore how compassion can become part of the way we lead, helping us navigate difficult moments with greater understanding, intention, and humanity while still maintaining clarity and accountability.

Because leadership isn’t about always knowing what to do. Sometimes, it’s about learning how to lead people through difficult moments with care.

Just because you’re okay… doesn’t mean everyone is. 😔

Right now, while the habagat still rages and many are fighting just to keep safe and dry, it’s essential to remember that empathy matters now more than ever.

For some, this storm is another rough day. For others, it’s a life-changing challenge that has shaken their world, taking away what they once relied on: homes, livelihoods, or even hope.

Not everyone’s reality is the same. We shouldn’t forget that we all have different struggles and experiences.

This isn’t just about trying to weather the storm. It’s about holding space for each other’s pain and struggles, reminding them that they are not alone, because empathy bridges gaps no privilege ever can. 🫶

So as the severe weather conditions continue, let’s hold a safe space for each other’s struggles and approach others with kindness and understanding. Together, we can cultivate a culture of empathy that can help us hold hope until the skies clear. ☀️

Sometimes, the people who believe in a mission will show up, even when it would be easier not to. ⛈️

We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to facilitate the first General Assembly of the Business and Management Consultants Association of the Philippines (BMCAP)— a gathering of professionals who came together not because they had to, but because they believe in strengthening and professionalizing the consulting field in the Philippines.

It was a challenging weekend to gather, with heavy rains and multiple weather warnings, yet these consultants still made the time to be there. Their presence was a meaningful reminder that professional growth isn’t always about what is convenient. Sometimes, it’s about choosing to invest in something you believe can make a difference.

We’re especially grateful to everyone who participated, contributed their perspectives, and gave their time to help shape the future of business and management consulting in the country. In a time of rapid changes in business, technology, and the workforce, the Philippines needs professionals who are willing to keep learning, share their expertise, and help organizations navigate what’s ahead.

Thank you, BMCAP, for allowing us to be part of this meaningful milestone. Here’s to building a stronger consulting community— one conversation, one learning experience, and one committed professional at a time. ☀️

When did life start feeling like it had to be so serious? 😵‍💫

As you grow older, it’s easy to get caught up in responsibilities, deadlines, and everything you feel you should be doing. Somewhere along the way, you might find yourself putting aside the things you used to enjoy, not because you stopped loving them, but because life started asking for your attention in so many other ways.

But that sense of wonder you had when you were younger doesn’t have to disappear. You can still get excited over small things, laugh at something silly, get curious about something new, or find joy in something that doesn’t need to be productive or practical. You’re allowed to enjoy things simply because they make you happy.

That little bit of whimsy can be good for your wellbeing, too. When you give yourself permission to play, explore, or simply enjoy the moment, you create small pockets of lightness in the middle of everyday life. It may not erase the difficult days, but it can give you something gentle to look forward to.

You don’t have to force yourself to feel joyful all the time, either. Some days will naturally feel heavier than others, and that’s okay. Wellness isn’t about being happy every moment; it’s also about giving yourself space for the moments that feel good when they come. 🫶

Remember, you don’t need to be young to carry a little bit of youthfulness with you. This International Youth Day, may we remember that we all have the power to make life a little more whimsical and fun, no matter how heavy life can be. ☀️

What if you’re not falling apart, but you’re not really feeling like yourself either? 😥

You might still be getting through work, replying to messages, showing up for people, and doing everything you normally do. But somewhere along the way, you notice that things don’t feel as exciting, meaningful, or fulfilling as they used to. You’re functioning, but you don’t quite feel like you’re living.

Sometimes, you might even wonder, “Why do I feel this way when everything seems fine?” You may feel guilty for feeling low when you can’t point to one big problem. But your feelings don’t need to be “bad enough” to deserve your attention.

Wellness isn’t only about dealing with struggles when they become overwhelming. It’s also about noticing the little signs that you may need more connection, purpose, rest, or something to look forward to. Sometimes, taking care of yourself starts with simply admitting, “I haven’t been feeling like myself lately.”

You don’t have to completely change your life overnight, either. A small change in your routine, reconnecting with someone you miss, making time for something you enjoy, or giving yourself permission to slow down can be a meaningful place to start.

This Wellness Month, may you remember that taking care of your wellbeing isn’t only for the moments when you’re struggling. You deserve care even on the ordinary days when you’re simply feeling meh. And if that feeling has been lasting or making everyday life harder, reaching out for support is also a form of taking care of yourself. 🫶

You don’t have to wait until you’re falling apart to start taking care of yourself. Sometimes, wellness begins with simply asking, “How am I really doing?” ☀️

Leading people is already challenging. Leading people through stressful times can feel like a whole different challenge.

We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to facilitate our 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 with leaders from different levels and areas of the public sector. With the demands leaders face every day, supporting a team’s wellbeing while still meeting goals and navigating change can be a lot to carry.

Facilitated by our very own chief officers, Nikki Vergara-Ong and John Reily D. Baluyot, this course was created to help leaders explore how Positive Psychology strategies can be brought into everyday leadership, from understanding what people may be going through to creating work environments where employees can feel supported, engaged, and able to thrive.

Thank you to the leaders who joined us and gave themselves the space to learn, reflect, and look at leadership from a different perspective. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your leadership journey and for being open to conversations that can help create healthier workplaces.

Here’s to leaders who continue to learn, grow, and find better ways to support their people, one conversation and one leadership moment at a time. ☀️
