We’ve just completed the pilot of our Executive Presence for Global Leaders program with leaders from Excelitas Technologies.

What started in Manila is now being adapted for regional delivery—with Indonesia and Singapore next.

Proud to be building this with Janet Lee-Jodloman and our partners, and especially to see how a capability traditionally associated with BPO communication is being re-engineered for global technology and manufacturing leadership.

Some projects remind you why you do this work.

We’ve just concluded the pilot run of Executive Presence for Global Leaders with the leaders of Excelitas Technologies—and I’m particularly excited about where this one is going.

What began as a conversation around presentation skills became something much bigger: How do we help technically strong leaders become more effective communicators in a global organization?

One of the most interesting parts has been bringing together two worlds.

Our new Senior Partner for Organizational Learning & Development, Janet Lee-Jodloman, brings two decades of senior leadership experience from the BPO world—where English communication, grammar, accent and pronunciation were core competencies.

We’ve now taken those capabilities and re-paired them with executive development for global technology and manufacturing leaders.

And our participant Billy Kusuma from Indonesia put it beautifully:
“Executive presence is the combination of confidence, credibility, communication, and character…”

Exactly.

It’s not about presenting better. It’s about leading better.
From Manila, we now take the program to Indonesia and Singapore—with the ambition of building something truly regional for global leaders.

The World Bank has officially classified us as an Upper-Middle Income Economy.

That’s worth celebrating.

But it also raises some uncomfortable questions.

One of the biggest takeaways from our recent High Impact Presentation and Leadership Communication workshop in Cebu was this: Communication is no longer just a soft skill. It has become a leadership capability.

Working with professionals across Operations, IT, Finance, Facilities, Customer Advocacy, and Project Management reminded me just how much world-class talent exists in this country. Filipino professionals continue to demonstrate remarkable adaptability, resilience, intelligence, and empathy while operating in highly demanding environments. In many ways, people remain our greatest competitive advantage.

Organizations today are not simply investing in “presentation skills.” They are investing in:
• leadership clarity
• executive presence
• stakeholder confidence
• strategic storytelling
• and the ability to turn data into aligned action

Been thinking about this over the past few days—

We tend to look at conflicts in terms of winners and losers.

But the more interesting question is:

What are the unintended consequences?

Because that’s where the real shifts happen—
in influence, capital, and long-term positioning.
