In line with the campaign to stop the proliferation of counterfeit products, the National Bureau of Investigation - National Capital Region (NBI-NCR) enforced Search Warrants at an establishment in Pasay City for violation of Republic Act No. 8293 or the "Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines."
On 03 July 2025, NBI-NCR agents, together with the NBI-Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD), implemented two (2) search warrants against one (1) establishment for violation of the aforementioned offense. The operation resulted in the discovery and seizure of a total of Nine Thousand and Ninety-Three (9,093) pieces of various counterfeit products, all bearing the trademarks of "Johnson's," "Johnson's Baby," and "Aveeno," registered trademarks of KENVUE Inc., and "Cetaphil" and "Cetaphil Gentle Clear," registered trademarks of GALDERMA HOLDINGS SA, and various business documents including other pieces of evidence which was estimated to be worth more or less Eight Million Pesos (Php 8,000,000.00). The case stemmed from the complaint filed by Orion Support, Inc. (OSI), representing Kenvue Inc. and Galderma Holdings SA.
Director Santiago lauded the NBI-NCR for successfully implementing said search warrants and their law enforcement actions to stop the proliferation and distribution of counterfeit/fake products. NBI reminds the public to refrain from patronizing pirated products to give protection to the intellectual property rights owners and enhance our economic growth.
