A Guided Lens into the Heart of Luneta

A walking tour of Rizal Park organized by Salcedo Auctions and Asia Society Philippines as part of its education and program partnership, ‘Luneta Lens’ brought participants closer to the pulse of a beloved landmark, weaving a historical stroll with a living photographic tradition.

Each stop was marked by a portrait by Luneta’s litratistas—veteran photographers who remind us that the park is a living archive, where memories are captured and kept in the albums of lovers, tourists, students, and families across generations.

Salcedo Auctions extends its gratitude to the National Parks Development Committee, Victorino Manalo, for their support; the Flower Clock Photography Association Inc. and the Samahan ng Malayang Photographer ng Luneta Inc. (SMPLI) for their participation and continued efforts in keeping this vital craft alive.

National Artist H.R. Ocampo’s ‘Summer Landscape’ soared to ₱10,512,000, while National Artist Fernando Amorsolo’s ‘Under the Mango Tree’ delivered a similarly impressive result.

BenCab, Sabel — ₱4,438,400, a world-record price for the artist in this medium
Vicente Manansala, Heart — ₱4,438,400
Ronald Ventura, Untitled — ₱4,088,000
