AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER/SPECIALIST
JOB BRIEF:
The Agriculture Development Officer/Specialist is responsible for coordination and management of projects related to drip irrigation/fertigation technology. This includes researching and developing strategies for agricultural projects, overseeing the
implementation of projects, monitoring progress, and evaluating outcomes.
The Agriculture Development Officer/Specialist should have a strong understanding of agriculture and development, as well as experience in project management and can work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, and to think critically and creatively to solve problems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Developing agricultural project development plans and proposals, timelines, budgets, and goals, and ensuring that all project activities are aligned with the overall objectives of the company.
2. Identify opportunities in sourcing potential projects and prospects in relation to
drip irrigation/fertigation technology focusing on rice and corn production.
3. Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders such as farmers, government agencies, and non-government organizations, to ensure the success of the project.
4. Regularly monitoring project progress and outcomes and conducting evaluations to assess the impact of the project and identify areas for improvement.
5. Preparing regular reports on project progress and outcomes, and communicating this information to relevant stakeholders.
6. Identifying and addressing any challenges or issues that arise during the project implementation, and taking steps to ensure that the project stays on track.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture
2. At least five (5) years experience in Agricultural Projects with background in Drip Irrigation/Fertigation Technology
3. Preferably female and must be willing to work in Makati City and travel to provinces to do demo and presentations.
