Three young leaders originally from Japan, the Philippines, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (currently living as a refugee in Uganda) , shared powerful stories of their choices.

Hiro chose the harder path for working on systemic change over firefighting against surface symptoms, and chose to act accepting he is not perfect.

Mark chose to gather his courage and rise through the rock bottom crisis of life and struggle, and found purpose with passion.

Fiston chose to lead and heal others with love and compassion, despite his deep trauma of experiencing brutal violence, deaths, and hatred.

SpiceWorx expresses sincere appreciation and gratitude to Mr.Keisuke Taketani for the beautiful visual scribe of this story telling and dialogue session. Because of his visual scribe, we were able to experience powerful visual resonance exercise that gave birth to an amazing collective poem of resonance.

Every one of us has possibility to become a titan with passion in our heart, open arms with love and compassion, to activate the strengths of community of people to co-create a better world. Whether or not that possibility becomes a reality depends on our choices. And the choices we make comes from our interior conditions.

“Leadership Stories” dialogue was a deep dive session on Day 10 of the 15 day international online collaboration program designed and facilitated by SpiceWorx.

The program follows five movements of Theory U (co-initiating, co-sensing, presencing, co-creating, and co-evolving) for both personal and collective leadership development.

KALYE is a bakery and cafe operated by former street children in the Philippines.

ICAN Philippines provided training on baking skills and bakery/cafe operation to empower the street children to build their own livelihood.

Hit by COVID pandemic, KALYE needs funds to rebuild it's operation so that it can continue giving hope to street children to build their future livelihood.

SpiceWorx in partnership with a design firm On-Off Group, NPOs ICAN Philippines and Seed4com will start a 3-week journey of online international collaboration program of Filipino and Japanese professionals on June 6, 2022.

The program is designed for the participants from Japan and the Philippines to go through series of collaborative works to create/deliver real values for the two Philippine based NPO partners (ICAN and SEED4COM) who have been working on various social issues and sustainability challenges in the country.

The 3-week journey follows the 5 movements (Initiate, Sense, Presence, Create, Evolve) of Theory U from the Presencing Institute, an awareness based systems transformation leadership approach. And everyone in the program will experience dual journey, i.e. personal journey of inner development as leaders and collective journey of creativity to address sustainability challenges.

Missions given to the participants include designing and launching crowd funding campaign for the partner NPOs and actually raising funds, and designing a solution for a specific and real challenge of the partner NPO by Design Sprint facilitated by ON-OFF GROUP.

For 2022, we are very excited to have a special guest from Africa, to share his stories as a young leader in Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda, enriching our learning by adding African perspective to our Asia-originated program.

An update from our 3-week Online Mission-Driven Business Challenge Program, a Japan-Philippine collaboration in leadership development.

The founders of our 3 partner organizations, Vincent Mendoza @ Farmvocacy, Mark Pogi @ SOLAR Hope, and Arcie G. Mallari @ Silid Aralan, Inc. shared their stories of the leadership journey. Everybody, including the speaker, turned the Zoom video off and just listened, intensely, deeply.

Three stories were very different. They all took very different paths. And they are trying to address different social issues in the Philippines. Yet you would notice common denominators, how they were able to find their purpose. They all hit the rock bottom. They experienced what it is like to be “broken” and “lost”.... be it financially, mentally, relationship, business, and/or career. And they rose up.

After listening to their powerful stories, moments of silence, and journaling. We turned to the visual scribe of the STORIES by Keisuke Taketani. And his scribe, together with the stories shared by the 3 amazing leaders, gave birth to the poem of visual resonance among the participants.

I see every single person had a different situation but their goal are towarding to the same that is to leading this situation to better way.

I feel the 3 flows combined and aim to the Philippines' future.

I sense that there are seeds of inspiration planted to all the people along the journey were already full of inspiration haha

I sense that I need to feel more thankful to my surrounding environment. The environment living in a house and get to learn what I want to and so on.
