𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲! 🇵🇭

Today, we proudly celebrate the 128th Philippine Independence Day, honoring the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of the Filipino people.

In observance of the holiday, the office of 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. will be closed today, 12 June 2026. Regular office operations will resume on Monday, 15 June 2026.

As our Philippine flag flies proudly both ashore and at sea, may we continue to uphold the values of freedom, unity, and resilience that define our nation.

A strong 7.8 magnitude earthquake has affected parts of the Mindanao Region. During times like these, preparedness, vigilance, and community support are essential.

𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. reminds all employees, seafarers, and their families to remain calm, follow local authorities’ advisories, and observe proper earthquake safety procedures: 𝘿𝙧𝙤𝙥, 𝘾𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙙.

For those who may have been affected by this event, Sandigan is ready to provide assistance through the appropriate channels. Office employees may coordinate with General Affairs, while seafarers and their families may contact the DSC - Talent Acquisition and Crew Relations Department.

Let us continue to look after one another and keep the safety of our families, colleagues, and communities our highest priority.

Dear Sandigan Crew and Staff,

Due to the recent fire incident in Navotas that started last Friday, air quality in some parts of Metro Manila, including Makati City, has been affected.

The smoke from the burned garbage may contain hazardous and harmful chemicals, which can pose health risks — especially to children, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with respiratory or heart conditions.

As your health and safety remain our priority, we would like to remind everyone to take the necessary precautions and stay safe.

Wear your mask.

Paalala sa lahat ng taga-Makati.

Dahil sa sunog sa saradong Navotas Sanitary Landfill na nagsimula noong Biyernes ng gabi, Abril 10, apektado ang kalidad ng hangin sa ilang bahagi ng Metro Manila, kabilang ang Makati. Ayon sa mga ulat, umabot sa "unhealthy" hanggang "acutely unhealthy" ang Air Quality Index sa ilang lugar sa Metro Manila.

Ang usok mula sa nasusunog na basura ay maaaring maglaman ng mga nakakapinsalang kemikal na delikado sa kalusugan, lalo na sa mga bata, matatanda, buntis, at mga may sakit sa baga o puso.

Pinapayo ng lungsod ang mga sumusunod:

* Magsuot ng face mask kapag lalabas ng bahay.
* Kung maaari, manatili muna sa loob ng bahay at isara ang mga bintana at pinto.
* Iwasan muna ang matagalang outdoor activities, lalo na ang exercise sa labas.

Kung nakakaranas ng ubo, hirap sa paghinga, o pangangati ng lalamunan, kumonsulta agad sa pinakamalapit na health center.
Patuloy ang pagmo-monitor ng ating lungsod sa sitwasyon. Mag-ingat tayong lahat.
