Path to Net-Zero Emissions:
Our Commitment
Kinpo Electronics is committed to addressing climate change, identifying associated risks and opportunities, and driving a comprehensive low-carbon transition. As the Group marks its 50th anniversary, Kinpo Electronics pledges to work with our partners across the global consumer electronics value chain to collectively "Move Towards Net-Zero Emissions."
Evidence from recent years presented by UN climate scientists indicates that our impact on the planet has ushered us into a climate emergency. As a trusted partner to the world's leading technology companies, Kinpo Electronics took a significant step in 2022 by endorsing the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Setting science-based emission reduction targets is the crucial first step on the path to net-zero. We are proud to announce that our SBT targets were submitted and officially approved in 2024.
Focus on Renewable Energy
To accelerate our decarbonization efforts, Kinpo Electronics Philippines prioritizes energy management to reduce consumption demand, followed by maximizing the share of renewable energy usage as we strive toward the RE100 goal.
Implementation Highlights: Kinpo Electronics Philippines
Our efforts are yielding significant results across our manufacturing hubs in the Philippines, demonstrating our aggressive shift toward renewable energy.
1. LIMA Plant Achievements We have implemented a major project at our LIMA plant, installing a solar power generation facility with a capacity of approximately 4,200 kWp. By 2025, the cumulative power generation reached nearly 3 GWh, accounting for approximately 40% of the plant's electricity consumption and reducing carbon emissions by 1.32K tons.
2. New Milestone at FPIP Plant (Operational Nov 2025) Building on this success, we officially activated a massive 11 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) system at our FPIP plant on November 1, 2025.
Projected Generation: This new facility is estimated to generate approximately 14.8 GWh of clean energy annually.
Environmental Impact: This initiative is projected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 10,500 tons per year, marking a monumental step in our regional decarbonization strategy.
Driving Net-Zero for the Next Kinpo 50 Years
Our clear and ambitious climate goals guide our strategy:
Target 1: Headquarter Carbon Neutrality by 2030
Target 2: Move Towards Net-Zero Emissions by 2050
