| PUBLIC SERVANTS HONORED, LOCAL ENTREPRENEURS SUPPORTED

Bangued, Abra – September 14, 2026 — In celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Civil Service Commission (CSC), in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Abra, officially opened the Civil Service Anniversary Trade Fair at the Bangued Town Plaza. The event runs from September 14 to 17, 2026, bringing proudly Abra-made products closer to government employees and the public.

Held under the theme “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan,” the activity honors the dedication and integrity of public servants while promoting local entrepreneurship. The opening ceremony was graced by Abra Vice Governor Anne Bersamin, Bangued Mayor Pope Cardenas, CSC Provincial Director Ruby Verceles, and DTI OIC-Provincial Director Marvin Arcangel.

A total of 23 local MSMEs participated, showcasing local food, delicacies, handicrafts, and other Abra-made products. To recognize government employees’ service, participating MSMEs offered 5%–20% discounts upon presentation of a valid office ID.

The trade fair successfully highlighted the collaboration between DTI-Abra, CSC, and Local Government in supporting local entrepreneurs while celebrating the spirit of public service. It also encouraged the community to support homegrown businesses that contribute to Abra’s economic growth.

DTI-Abra continues to champion initiatives that empower MSMEs and promote sustainable local development—reminding everyone that supporting local is supporting the heart of public service. DTI Abra
