A total of 26 selected mentors from PCCIโ€™s local chamber partners (and Nolitc) across the Visayas participated in the training, gaining a deeper understanding of the HPDE course, its digital resources, and the newly developed ๐—›๐—ฃ๐——๐—˜ ๐—”๐—œ ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฒ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—•๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜€. The mentors are being equipped to provide practical, context-specific guidance to MSMEs as they navigate digital technologies and emerging business tools.

This mentor rollout forms part of the broader HPDE-DRIVE initiative to reach and support MSMEs through structured digital learning, mentorship, and access to relevant resources.

The program is hosted by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and Layertech Labs, in collaboration with PCCIโ€™s chamber partners in the Visayas.

Through a network of trained mentors and industry partners, HPDE-DRIVE aims to strengthen the capacity of MSMEs to adopt digital solutions, improve business practices, and participate more effectively in the digital economy.

Atty. Jobert Penaflorida represented PCCI-Visayas, as its Area Vice President, at the 3rd BIMP-EAGA (Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asia Growth Area) Trade, Investment and Halal Industry Conference on September 2, 2026.

He joined PCCI President Ferdinand Ferrer, PCCI Chairman Jude Aguilar, AVP Yolanda de la Cruz (NCR) and AVP Nenita Malbas (Mindanao), and other PCCI officers and members.

Jointly organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Sabah, the event was held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) in Kota Kinabalu.

This high-level regional conference kicks off a strategic week, until September 6, 2026, focused on trade, investment, networking, and regional collaboration across ASEAN and beyond.
