The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) participated in the 35th Visayas Area Business Conference held on May 13-15, 2026, in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

The delegation was led by President Barbara Gothong-Tan, together with Immediate Past President Mark Anthony Ynoc, Vice President for Internal Affairs Walter Ong, Corporate Secretary Marvey Alcantara, Past Trustee Girlie Garces, Executive Director Marlene Bedia, and members of the MCCI Secretariat.

During the conference, the delegation actively participated in the sessions and engagements with fellow business leaders and stakeholders from across the Visayas, reaffirming MCCI’s commitment to fostering collaboration and strengthening regional partnerships.

The Safety Fence Project, initially installed around Bayanihan Village in Mandaue, is a collaborative initiative of the City Government in partnership with the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This project aims to improve the physical surroundings and enhance the safety of residents especially children who frequently cross the highway. The initial stretch covers 184 meters and stands as a strong example of effective cooperation between the government and the private sector.

Today, May 1, 2026, the project is officially turned over to the community, marking an important step toward a safer environment for all.
