Ahhhh yes, 2021 is coming to an end.

The last quarter stretch has been an indicator that we are more resilient than we know.

However, the past 2 years have put everyone into survival mode and we have created HABITS OF SURVIVAL. Not that these habits are bad, but these habits might be detrimental to our continuous progress.

Whether it be personal or organizational, to THRIVE is paramount. If we live by the assumption that human beings are creators and not just reactive beings, potentials cannot be realized in survival mode.

Whilst the term "soft" is frowned upon in a culture where the workplace is consistently ruthless, competitive, and unforgiving, these skills are the ones that ensure the most important aspects of resilience -- flexibility and adaptability.

"Soft skills" are the intangibles that sustain the life blood of social organizations, for they ensure the possibility of cooperation and coordination among people. These "soft skills" are even grounded upon the strongest ethics and philosophy such as stoicism, dialectics, and reason, and have hitherto, served mankind's intelligent design.

The paradox lies on the semantics -- soft skills are the most in-demand in a workplace that increasingly hardens.
