GPM Sportsfest 2026 kicks off; Garrets keglers strike gold
The Global Process Manager (GPM) Sportsfest is one of the most anticipated events on the company calendar. Now in its sixth edition, the GPM Sportsfest 2026 officially rolled out with the bowling competition on May 15, 2026, at Paeng’s Midtown Bowl in Robinsons Manila.
GPM HR Assistant Christine Daya and HR Officer Daisy Anne Francisco set the vibrant afternoon tone as hosts, welcoming the energetic crowd. To formally open the event, GPM President Erik Nielsen shared inspiring words of encouragement. He wished all teams luck, emphasized safety, and reminded everyone to have fun. Nielsen also congratulated the GPM community and the organizing committee for successfully putting the event together.
Following the ceremonial bowl by the team captains, the elimination round commenced with each squad playing two games. GPM dominated the qualifiers, securing the top spot with 1,403 pinfalls. Garrets followed in second with 1,322 pinfalls, TSI took third with 1,267 pinfalls, and Nobia clinched the final seed with 1,209 pinfalls.
The action intensified in the sudden-death, one-game finals round. Garrets found their rhythm, delivering a stellar performance to finish with 758 pinfalls and claim the championship title. Nobia also excelled, capturing second place with 661 pinfalls. Elimination leaders GPM settled for third place with 623 pinfalls, while TSI rounded out the top four with 550 pinfalls.
Individual excellence was also celebrated during the awards ceremony. GPM SAP Specialist I Andhie Villanueva took home the Highest Female Bowler award with a stunning 152 pinfalls. Meanwhile, Garrets Vessel Account Manager for Provisions Renzo Buhay smashed 160 points to earn the Highest Male Bowler title.
With the bowling tournament successfully concluded, the GPM Sportsfest shifts its focus to the badminton competition, scheduled for May 30, 2026.
