📢 BIR New Issuance Alert: A Fresh Start for Micro Taxpayers!

The Bureau of Internal Revenue has officially released Revenue Regulations (RR) No. 4-2026, offering a one-time tax abatement program to help micro taxpayers settle their outstanding tax obligations.

If you are a micro taxpayer with old, unresolved tax cases, this is your opportunity to clear your records and start with a clean slate!

What is this program?

This is a one-time opportunity to avail of an abatement (reduction/cancellation) of taxes and/or penalties for delinquent accounts, assessments, and open stop-filer cases existing as of December 31, 2025.

Who Qualifies?
✅Micro Taxpayers: Those with annual gross sales of less than ₱3,000,000.00. (For mixed-income earners, only business income is counted).
✅Threshold: Your total basic tax liabilities and/or penalties must not exceed ₱80,000.00 per taxable year.
✅Coverage: Includes delinquent accounts, assessments (disputed or not), and open stop-filer cases—even for businesses that have already ceased operations.

Important Deadline:
You can avail of this program until **December 31, 2026**. 🗓️

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) informs all corporations and other concerned stakeholders that the transitional use of the 2020 General Information Sheet (GIS) Form, which includes the Beneficial Ownership Declaration (BOD) Page, is extended until 31 July 2026.

During the extension period, corporations may continue to file their GIS and BOD Page through eFAST using the 2020 GIS Form without being redirected to the Hierarchical and Applicable Relations and Beneficial Ownership Registry (HARBOR).

This extension is intended to facilitate a smooth transition to HARBOR while the Commission continues to address technical issues affecting the filing process.

Don't miss the deadline! The filing of the 2025 Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for all domestic and foreign corporations is due on 15 June 2026.

All domestic and foreign corporations are reminded to submit their AFS on or before the deadline and ensure that the documents are duly received by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), in accordance with existing rules and regulations.
