🔋 Keep the system. Upgrade the battery.
Another batch of Sungreat Energy LiFePO4 batteries is prepared for the Philippines, including:
✅ 12.8V 100Ah — 1.28kWh
✅ 12.8V 280Ah — 3.584kWh
✅ >6,000 cycles @ 80% DOD
✅ 100A / 200A charge and discharge current depending on the model
But this shipment is not only about battery capacity.
It represents a question we hear more often from customers:
“Do I really need to replace the whole system, or can I upgrade the lead-acid battery?”
Sometimes the existing equipment is still working well.
In that case, a properly selected LiFePO4 battery may be a practical upgrade — but it is not as simple as choosing another battery with a similar voltage.
Before recommending a replacement, we need to understand:
• Existing system voltage
• Charger and charging profile
• Load and current requirement
• Required backup time
• Installation space
• Battery capacity and discharge requirement
For example, these two batteries are both 12.8V LiFePO4 models:
🔹 100Ah = 1.28kWh
🔹 280Ah = 3.584kWh
Same voltage class, but very different energy capacity and current capability.
That is why a good battery replacement starts with understanding the system that is already there.
For us, being useful to a customer is not always about selling a completely new system.
Sometimes it is about helping them keep what
