On December 26, 2024, in Rizal Street, Mati City, Davao Oriental Province, personnel from the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 11, Davao Oriental Provincial Cyber Response Team, Mati City Police Station, and Davao Oriental Provincial Forensic Unit conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of alias "Adeng" for the online selling of firecrackers.

Seized from Adeng's possession were assorted firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices, with an estimated value of Php30,000.00.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Officer-in-Charge of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the dedication and hard work of the personnel involved, stating, "Their unwavering commitment has prevented a potential threat to public safety. The illegal sale of firecrackers poses serious risks to our communities, and we will further intensify our cyber patrolling efforts to crack down on these online sellers and protect the public."

Ex-Live-in Partner Arrested for Threatening to Spread Private Photos

Personnel of the Manila District Anti-Cybercrime Team arrested alias "Terry" through an entrapment operation on December 27, 2024, in Paco, Manila.

The operation stemmed from a complaint filed by Terry's ex-live-in partner, who reported that he had threatened to spread her private photos if she did not meet with him.

Terry is now facing charges of Grave Coercion, Theft, violation of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act, and violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Officer-in-Charge of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the personnel for their swift and decisive action in apprehending the suspect. "This successful operation underscores our commitment to protecting the public from online threats and ensuring that those who exploit technology to commit crimes are brought to justice," BGen. Online Sellers Arrested for Selling Firecrackers

On December 27, 2024, in Barangay Libertad, Butuan City, personnel from the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 13 and the Butuan City Police Station conducted an entrapment operation, resulting in the arrest of individuals identified as alias "Zen" and alias "Sam" for the online sale of firecrackers. Various types of unregulated firecrackers, which may pose a threat to public safety, were seized from their possession.

Brigadier General Bernard R. Yang, Officer-in-Charge of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, commended the personnel for their successful operation. He further emphasized the importance of such operations in safeguarding the public, stating, "This accomplishment reflects our commitment to protecting the community from potential harm. Online Seller of "Goodbye Philippines" Arrested in Iloilo

On December 28, 2024, in Molo, Iloilo City, Cybercops from the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 6 conducted an entrapment operation that led to the arrest of alias "Bal" for the illegal online sale of firecrackers.

Seized from his possession were six pieces of "Goodbye Philippines" firecrackers, with an estimated value of Php 2,450.00.

Wanted for Online Libel, Arrested in Davao Del Norte

Personnel from the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 11, Ecoland Police Station, and CIDG Regional Field Unit 11 arrested an individual known as alias "Darling" through the service of a warrant of arrest on December 28, 2024, in Panabo City, Davao Del Norte.

Alias "Darling" faces an outstanding warrant for ten counts of online libel.

Paputok Online Seller, Nabbed in Malabon

On December 28, 2024, in Barangay Longos, Malabon City, personnel from the Northern District Anti-Cybercrime Team and Malabon City Police Sub-Station 5 arrested alias "Ica" in an entrapment operation for the illegal online selling of firecrackers.

Seized from Ica’s possession were 15 boxes of Kingkong firecrackers and 10 pieces of Giant Whistle Bomb firecrackers.

Seized from RR’s possession were various types of firecrackers, including Picolo XL, Plapla, Bawang, and Atomic Bomb.
