The Problem of Access:
At least 25 million Filipinos live without electricity and more than 17 million drink unsafe water, putting themselves and their families at risk. Air pollution from indoor cooking kills more children under age 5 than any disease, and over two-thirds of all Filipinos die without seeing a doctor. Lack of access to basic resources traps communities in a cycle of poverty, illness and environmental damage. We founded Hybrid Social Solutions, Inc. (HSSi) to address the problem of access nationwide. We distribute products, educate users, ensure technical service, and provide financing in conjunction with micro finance institutions, people's cooperatives, and NGO's in order to improve lives and generate lasting change.
